The wild and bizarre live-action/animation hybrid stars basketball legend Michael Jordan as himself as he is dragged into the cartoon world by none other than Bugs Bunny. Bugs and the rest of the Looney Tunes are seeking help to take on a bunch of nefarious aliens in a basketball game. The Long-Awaited Sequel Arrived In 2021

While the first movie was not a hit with critics, Space Jam: A New Legacy received even harsher reviews when it was finally released decades later. The sequel follows the same formula as the original movie in that it follows an NBA superstar who is sucked into the cartoon world to help the Looney Tunes win a basketball game. However, this time around, it is LeBron James as the star athlete and instead of villainous aliens, it is a conniving AI system.

Despite the poor reception, once fans are done revisiting the original 1996 Space Jam, they might be interested in checking out the sequel. Unfortunately, both movies cannot be enjoyed in one place as Space Jam: A New Legacy is available to stream on Max. In fact, the Space Jam sequel was one of several big Warner Bros. tentpoles from 2021 that were released simultaneously in theaters and on Max, along with the likes of The Suicide Squad and Mortal Kombat.
