Alison Brie and Dave Franco have both carved out successful careers in Hollywood, with the powerhouse couple excelling across genres in television and film. Brie and Franco, who married in 2017, have also worked together many times, sharing the screen with indie projects like The Disaster Artist, Horse Girl, and The Little Hours. In 2023, the couple co-wrote their first movie together, Somebody That I Used To Know, with Brie in the lead role and Franco directing the rom-com.
Brie first gained widespread recognition as Annie Edison in NBC’s beloved sitcom Community (2009–2015), where she played an ambitious overachiever with pure comedic timing. Around the same time, she voiced Diane Nguyen in BoJack Horseman (2014–2020), one of Netflix’s most critically acclaimed animated series. Franco’s breakout roles came in cult-comedy films like 21 Jump Street (2012) and Neighbors (2014), where he played a hilarious and charismatic antagonist. He also starred in the Now You See Me franchise (2013, 2016) as a street magician-turned-thief.
Together Comes To Theaters On August 1, 2025
The Movie Secures A Wide Release
Alison Brie and Dave Franco’s latest project, Together, is coming to theaters this year. Premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, the film follows Tim (Franco) and Millie (Brie), a married couple who move to the countryside in an attempt to repair their struggling relationship. However, their new home is not as peaceful as they hoped when they come across an unexpected guest. Michael Shanks, making his feature directorial debut, helms the project, with Brie and Franco serving as both stars and executive producers.
Now, NEON has announced Together will hit theaters on August 1, 2025, following its critically acclaimed Sundance debut. With 17 reviews and counting, the Franco and Brie-led horror film has amᴀssed a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes as a twisted yet intimate approach to body horror with a hilariously heartfelt exploration of love and connection. Given the success of past horror films distributed by NEON—such as Longlegs and Parasite—Together could be one of the biggest genre films of the year.
Our Take On Together’s Theatrical Release
A Horror Movie That Feels Bold & Personal
Seeing Brie and Franco step deeper into the horror genre together is exciting, especially with Together already garnering critical acclaim. Their past projects have offered an enticing peak in their chemistry and creative synergy, but this film looks to be some of their best work yet. Its blend of unrelenting gore, supernatural enтιтies, and relationship drama has all the makings of a standout genre film. If the festival buzz translates to mainstream success, Together could be one of 2025’s most talked-about horror films, cementing the couple as a creative duo capable of delivering truly bold—often unhinged—storytelling.
