Pamela Anderson Already Has An Ideal Upcoming Movie After The Last Showgirl

Pamela Anderson has been a longstanding pillar of western culture since the ’90s, and while her stardom has slightly waned since those days, projects like The Last Showgirl have finally given her the opportunity to show off her immense acting talents. The film stars Anderson as a middle-aged Las Vegas showgirl who learns that the revue she has danced in for 30 years is shutting down. Anderson was nominated for a SAG award and a Golden Globe for her excellent performance, which thankfully seems to have opened more doors for the actress.

The Last Showgirl received excellent reviews for every aspect of the film, but chief among the praises for the movie was how wonderful Anderson was at portraying Shelly Gardner. It was directed by Gia Coppola, with Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, and Brenda Song as supporting characters. The Last Showgirl and its great ending give an exciting look into what could be next for Anderson’s career, and hopefully, the next project that she has been cast in will be able to repeat the same success that the drama had.

Rosebush Pruning Will Be Pamela Anderson’s Next Dramatic Role After The Last Showgirl

Pamela Anderson Is Going To Continue Her Dramatic Resurgence

The next project Pamela Anderson has been cast in is The Naked Gun, the fourth entry in the long-running action/comedy series, which is quite a departure from The Last Showgirl. However, her next dramatic role is in the upcoming film Rosebush Pruning, by Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz, which is an adaptation of the 1965 Italian film Fists in the Pocket. While Anderson doesn’t star in the film, she is likely going to have a significant role, especially considering her work in The Last Showgirl.

Pamela Anderson’s The Last Showgirl Performance Makes Rosebush Pruning More Exciting

The Film Is Even More Interesting With Such A Great Star Attached

Now that Anderson has proven how incredible her acting talent is with her most recent work, being able to see her in another serious, dramatic role is extremely exciting, even if she doesn’t have the starring role in Rosebush Pruning. Anderson’s performance in The Last Showgirl was definitely more of a gamble, as she has never really proven her acting chops in that kind of way, but now that we’ve seen how she can nail a great dramatic performance, her role in Rosebush will hopefully be a slam dunk.

While chances are that this performance wasn’t just a one-time thing, it could be a situation where it was just the right project at the right time with the right creative team to allow Anderson to achieve what she did.

However, those positive reactions also come with an obvious caveat, as now the expectation is that she will be able to repeat what she did in The Last Showgirl. While chances are that this performance wasn’t just a one-time thing, it could be a situation where it was just the right project at the right time with the right creative team to allow Anderson to achieve what she did. With that said, given how demanding her performance in The Last Showgirl must have been, it’s still probably safe to say she can nail her next project once again.
