Fast & Furious 11 Is About To Bring Another Character Back From The ᴅᴇᴀᴅ According To This Vin Diesel Tease

Vin Diesel has teased the return of a major player from the franchise’s early days in Fast & Furious 11 — and it’ll be the latest in a long line of resurrections. Fast 11 is planned to be the final film in the Fast & Furious saga, and it’ll be released on an as-yet-unannounced date in 2026. Louis Leterrier is back in the director’s chair and the sequel is said to be a return to the series’ roots, with a streamlined story focused on a single mission.

The Fast & Furious franchise has become notorious for bringing characters back from the ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, even when they died under circumstances that would be impossible to survive. Letty was killed off before being revealed to be alive in Fast Five. Han was killed off before being revealed to be alive in F9. Gisele was killed off before being revealed to be alive in Fast X. Fast & Furious’ character deaths are less definitive than superheroes in comic books — and now, it looks like there’s going to be another resurrection.

Vin Diesel Is Teasing The Return Of Dom’s 1970 Chevy Chevelle In Fast 11

The Original Fast & Furious Car Is Back

Vin Diesel driving a red Chevy Chevelle as Dom in The Fast and the Furious

Diesel recently posted a pH๏τo from the set of Fast & Furious 11 that teased the return of a long-forgotten relic from the original movie. The picture shows Diesel in costume as Dom Toretto, wearing a black tank top, posing next to a 1970 Chevy Chevelle. In the caption, he teased that “something legendary rolled into the studio today… The first FAST car is here! This seems to suggest that this isn’t just any 1970 Chevy Chevelle; it’s supposed to be THE 1970 Chevy Chevelle from the final scene of The Fast and the Furious.

The problem is that this car blew up in Fast & Furious. It was wiped off the face of the Earth. If it returns in Fast & Furious 11, then it’ll be yet another unlikely resurrection.

In the post-credits scene of The Fast and the Furious, Dom was seen driving a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS through Baja California, Mexico. This car later reappeared in the fourth movie, simply тιтled Fast & Furious, so Dom has a long history of driving it. The problem is that this car blew up in Fast & Furious. It was wiped off the face of the Earth. If it returns in Fast & Furious 11, then it’ll be yet another unlikely resurrection.

How Dominic Toretto’s Original Fast & Furious Car Can Be Back In Fast 11

It Could Be A Different Chevelle

There are a couple of ways Fast & Furious 11 can explain the return of Dom’s beloved Chevelle. Diesel could be referring to the return of the model, not the same exact car, so this could be a different Chevelle that Dom got as a replacement for the one that blew up. Alternatively, Fast & Furious 11 could explain that the original Chevelle survived somehow. It wouldn’t make sense, but it wouldn’t be the most far-fetched thing that happened in this franchise, either.
