If You Miss Roscoe In Reacher, Willa Fitzgerald’s 95% Rotten Tomatoes Horror Movie Will Blow You Away

Reacher has become one of Amazon’s most successful and acclaimed shows in recent years, retelling some of Lee Child’s most popular novels for the small screen. The show follows the тιтular protagonist as he’s dragged through a series of complex crimes and conspiracies, always using his military background and problem-solving skills to save the day. Reacher has an excellent cast that really lets the characters shine, and for the first season, Willa Fitzgerald’s Roscoe was arguably the standout member.

Following Roscoe’s exit at the end of Reacher season 1, the show has consistently struggled to fill the gap that she’s left behind. While many fans have called for Roscoe to return in the upcoming third season, this could ultimately prove detrimental to the story and would confess the show’s reliance on her. Instead, there are plenty of other great projects in Fitzgerald’s catalog that audiences can check out, including an incredibly inventive thriller from last year that went criminally under the radar.

Reacher’s Willa Fitzgerald Is Incredible In Strange Darling

The Actress Reaches New Heights In The Psychological Thriller

Strange Darling is a gripping thriller that takes the audience on a wild ride through five distinct chapters, the catch being that they’re uniquely told in the wrong order. The film depicts the complex relationship between Fitzgerald’s protagonist and Kyle Gallner’s character (referred to only as “The Demon”), as the timeline jumps back and forth to reveal aspects of their backstories that completely reframe the narrative. It’s a brilliantly inventive film, and one that consistently keeps the audience on their toes.

Beyond the ambitious storytelling, Strange Darling also benefits from an outstanding lead performance from Willa Fitzgerald. It’s some of her best work to date, with her character’s intentions and motivations constantly changing as the timeline jumps to different moments in this narrative. Strange Darling’s twist ending gives Fitzgerald even more chance to shine, in a role that’s both villainous and heroic without the audience ever knowing which is reality.

Strange Darling Shows Why Reacher Should Bring Back Willa Fitzgerald As Roscoe

Her Character Was An Essential Part Of The Show

Strange Darling is an excellent project in its own right, but it also serves to prove that Reacher would benefit from bringing Willa Fitzgerald back into its cast. She’s an excellent actress, and this film proves that she’s capable of playing many different archetypes and complex characters. Reacher has suffered following Roscoe’s exit, and it’s possible that Fitzgerald was the magic ingredient that made that first season so much fun to watch. If Reacher wants to get back to that same standard, Roscoe could be the missing link.
