Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh’s 2024 High-Acclaimed Tearjerker Movie Is Coming To Streaming Next Month

English actors, Andrew Garfield
and Florence Pugh
, are some of the biggest stars currently working in Hollywood, with a strong following thanks to the varied range of their filmography. Both Garfield and Pugh attracted major mainstream attention as they took on the roles of two arachnid-themed heroes when they played Spider-Man and Yelena Belova in several projects inspired by the Marvel Comics characters. While their superhero roles may have netted them major attention across the globe, Garfield and Pugh’s respective ranges can be seen throughout their past roles.

Garfield’s mainstream breakout came when he portrayed social media entrepreneur Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network, while his portrayal of pacifist World War II corporal Desmond Doss in Hacksaw Ridge and playwright Jonathan Larson in Tick, Tick… Boom! saw him receive nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor. After Pugh made her breakthrough through her roles in Fighting with My Family, Midsommar, and Little Woman in 2019, she was recognized for her portrayal of Amy March in Greta Gerwig’s movie.

We Live In Time Is Coming To Max

The 2024 Feature Saw Garfield & Pugh Portray A Loving Couple

John Crowley’s 2024 romantic comedy-drama We Live In Time is now coming to streaming next month. The 2024 tearjerker movie was one of the year’s most eagerly-awaited features. Told in a nonlinear fashion, the movie explores the romance of Tobias (Garfield) and Almut (Pugh), from their chance meeting and quick relationship to starting a family and grappling with Almut’s battle with cancer. Reviews for We Live in Time are positive, with both Garfield and Pugh earning critical praise for adding depth and weight to the emotional tale.

Though We Live In Time was only given a limited release in the US, Max has confirmed that the movie has been slated for a streaming release. The feature is currently slated to release on Max on February 7, bringing the A24-distributed feature to audiences at home. It will be available at 8 pm ET.

Our Take On We Live In Time Release

Make Sure To Buy Tissues!

We Live In Time is a heartwrenching exploration of love persevering throughout one of the most difficult experiences a family can go through, trying to make every moment last and stand out. It’s a story that many people can relate to, especially given the acceptance and grief and how a family chooses to live their life. Furthermore, both Garfield and Pugh have been open about the emotional undertaking of tackling the story presented. Garfield struggled through his personal life and the loss of his mother, and Pugh shaved her head, as she felt it was only right when telling the story.

Despite some criticism of the nonlinear approach, it is the emotional core of the story that has left all viewers praising the movie. As someone who has watched the movie, I highly recommend watching the movie because the story is very relatable and Garfield and Pugh’s performances give emotional depth to allow their characters to stand out. If you are planning to see We Live in Time next month, I suggest you buy a box of Kleenex in advance.
