Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 3: Confirmation & Everything We Know

The controversial mascot horror series Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey isn’t over yet, and there are already details about the upcoming Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3. Debuting in 2023 with the eponymous first film, the conceit of the slasher horror franchise is that writer A.A. Milne’s classic character, Winnie-the-Pooh, has been transformed into a murderous monster. This is only possible thanks to the character entering the public domain in the 2020s, which has allowed director Rhys Frake-Waterfield to put his own twisted spin on the beloved children’s stories.

Made on a tiny budget and shipped out quickly to capitalize on the public domain horror craze, 2023’s Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was summarily lambasted by critics and garnered a sub-10% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite this critical infamy, it managed to become something of a sleeper box-office success, which spurred Jagged Edge Productions to quickly green-light a sequel with a slightly elevated budget. 2024’s Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 instantly improved on the original, and its immediate success has led to the announcement of Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3.

The Producer Reveals Key Details About The Sequel

While promoting yet another addition to the Twisted Childhood Universe, producer Scott Chambers revealed story details about Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3. With the Alice in Wonderland-inspired movie Alice the Mad soon to join the TCU, Chambers also noted that Blood and Honey 3 will focus squarely on Tigger as the main antagonist. He described the film as a “Tigger standalone film” but it’s unclear if Pooh and his other cronies will be involved. Previous updates have mentioned that Rabbit and the Heffalumps and Woozles will appear.

it remains to be seen if the low-budget horror franchise will keep up its momentum as the years drag on.

Blood and Honey 3, tentatively subтιтled Tigger’s Return, was also noted as the start of the TCU’s Phase 2. This is reminiscent of Marvel’s different phases, but it’s unclear how far out the Twisted Childhood Universe will actually go. Poohniverse: Monsters ᴀssembled will presumably be the end of Phase 1, and it remains to be seen if the low-budget horror franchise will keep up its momentum as the years drag on.

Read Chambers’ full comments here:

A hundred percent. There’s Phase 2, which we have. We’ve already announced some of them. So Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3, Tigger’s Return, which is going to be a Tigger standalone film because everyone responded quite well to Tigger, so he’s going to get a standalone. Then the next one I think I’m going to direct is Alice the Mad. And at the minute, I’m enjoying exploring the idea that basically it’s set at an escorting agency, which is called the White Rabbit. And Alice is an escort, which is a Sєx worker, and the Mad Hatter becomes obsessed with her. And for me, the references are a film called Opera, A little bit of Maniac with Elijah Wood and a bit of MaXXXine in there maybe as well. I’m excited for that.

Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 3 Is Confirmed

Another Mascot Horror Rampage Is Coming Soon

Just days after the second film premiered, Jagged Edge Productions and director Rhys Frake-Waterfield announced that Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 was officially happening. Though the initial critical reception of Blood and Honey 2 was somewhat inflated and has since leveled out, the numbers have already justified another movie. Along with the announcement of a third film, Frake-Waterfield and company also revealed that Blood and Honey 3 will feature another classic A.A. Milne character who has heretofore been missing. Rabbit will join his fellow Hundred Acre Wood compatriots when they return for their third rampage.

According to the announcement, Rabbit will also be joined by the lesser-known Heffalumps and Woozles. The mysterious enтιтies from Milne’s works are perhaps best known for their somewhat scary scene in the first Winnie-the-Pooh Disney film. Since then, producer Scott Chambers confirmed that the third film will be a standalone film for Tigger, but it’s unclear if this contradicts earlier reports regarding new Pooh characters. No production timeline is known, but Blood and Honey 3 will be part of the Twisted Childhood Universe’s Phase 2.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 currently holds a 47% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 3 Cast

Who Survived The First Two Movies?

The cast of Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 was largely hacked to bits by the murderous ursine, but some did survive and will undoubtedly appear in the third film. Though no cast members have been announced yet for Blood and Honey 3, it can be ᴀssumed that franchise hero Christopher Robin will once again be played by Scott Chambers who ᴀssumed the role in the sequel. Since Tallulah Evans’ Lexy also survived her ordeal, she might be back to take on the Hundred Acre Woods monsters again as well.

While the actors behind the masks could always change between films, Ryan Oliva could return to reprise his role as Winnie-the-Pooh, especially as he becomes a more full-fledged character. Likewise, Eddy MacKenzie could be back as Piglet, alongside Lewis Santer as Tigger and Marcus Mᴀssey as Owl. The new role of Rabbit has been announced for Blood and Honey 3, but the role has not been cast yet.

Though Winnie-the-Pooh seemingly met his fate with an axe to the head from Christopher Robin at the end of Blood and Honey 2, the movie wasted no time in revealing to the audience that each of the monsters has a healing factor. This means that there is no mystery that the ghoulish creations will be back to terrorize the town once again. While no details about the plot have been revealed yet, Blood and Honey 3 has already promised to introduce Rabbit, Heffalumps, and Woozles to the mix, and there are plenty of storylines still unresolved.

The revelation that Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Owl are all freakish creations of a mad scientist opens the door for endless story possibilities, especially with a looming cinematic universe in the works. Likewise, the familial connection between Pooh (actually Billy Robin) and Christopher was only just introduced, and there is worse blood after the former murdered their parents. Whatever happens in Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 it already promises to be a blood-soaked thrill ride.
