Tom Holland’s Peter Parker clashes with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men through new Avengers: Secret Wars art following their first Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure. As Phase 5 is almost done, Phase 6 of the MCU timeline is slowly approaching, which will be the final stage of The Multiverse Saga. After getting to share the screen together in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, the MCU audience is still wondering if Holland, Maguire, and Garfield’s versions of the web-slinger will have one more story together before The Multiverse Saga is over.

With Avengers: Secret Wars expected to bring back multiple Marvel stars outside of the MCU franchise, Art of Time Travel shared new artwork for the Phase 6 finale, with a focus on the three Spider-Man variants, but with a twist. Rather than being on the same page, the web crawlers are pitted against each other in a scenario where they have to fight one another for the sake of the universes that each of them comes from in the Marvel multiverse. Holland will soon be reprising the role of his Spider-Man from Earth-616, as he is set to start shooting Spider-Man 4 this summer and is reportedly going to be back for at least Avengers: Doomsday. In regards to Garfield and Maguire’s Spider-Men, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have yet to announce if or when they will be back in the MCU, though many have speculated that they may have roles to play in the next Avengers movies.

While time will tell if all the Spider-Men will get to face each other in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the new fan art does raise an interesting concept that could actually happen in at least one of those films. Even though they were allies throughout the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, there could come a time in Avengers: Secret Wars when each Peter may be faced with dilemmas in terms of saving their respective worlds. The question of who would emerge victorious in such a battle remains to be seen, as each Spider-Man has their strengths and weaknesses.

Another possibility for a Spider-Man war is if Holland’s Peter gets taken over by the symbiote, which has been a huge theory for his next MCU arc after the Spider-Man: No Way Home ending. With Holland’s character on his own, he could be an easier target for a Venom symbiote, which would be a natural reason for Maguire and Garfield’s Spider-Men to battle him in Avengers: Secret Wars, in order to save him from himself. That would justify them being a huge part of the Avengers: Secret Wars cast while also having a memorable story with Holland’s Spider-Man.

The Avengers: Secret Wars art piece with Holland, Garfield, and Maguire’s Spider-Men underlines how fascinating it would be to see how a showdown between the three of them, especially as the franchise heads into the end of The Multiverse Saga. Since Avengers: Secret Wars will supposedly set up a soft reboot for the MCU, the Phase 6 finale may be the final time that the Spider-Man trio can share the screen again. Hopefully, more news about Avengers: Secret Wars will start to emerge throughout 2025, including what big characters will be part of the highly-anticipated film.
