Since then, The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent has established itself as a must-see action-packed comedy film.

Though it’s another one of Nicolas Cage’s high-concept action movies, The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent is a self-aware and self-deprecating adventure that depicts Cage at his best while humanizing his character. With plenty of humorous and ridiculous moments from the cast of The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent, even non-Nic Cage fans can enjoy this wacky and wild buddy comedy that’s now streaming on Netflix.

The Unbearable Weight Of Mᴀssive Talent Is Now Streaming On Netflix – What The Movie Is About

Nicolas Cage Embarks On A Journey Straight Out Of One Of His Movies

Nicolas Cage in The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent

The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent follows a fictionalized version of Nicolas Cage, who’s estranged from his ex-wife and their daughter for neglecting their emotional needs. Similar to the real Nicolas Cage, the film’s protagonist faces financial ruin after losing several acting roles, all while he considers retirement from his Hollywood career. As a result, he accepts a $1 million job to attend the birthday party of a mysterious and wealthy superfan. Cage is then approached by the CIA to help them prove his host is an arms dealer responsible for the kidnapping of a politician’s daughter.

The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent thus plays out as an explosive and thrilling action movie, similar to those that Cage has starred in throughout his career. However, the film acts as a meta-comedy that references several of Cage’s films, including Face/Off, Leaving Las Vegas, The Rock, Con Air, and Gone in 60 Seconds. The film also has Cage playing an imaginary version of his younger self from his infamously bizarre TV appearance in 1990 on the Wogan talk show promoting Wild at Heart.

Who Else Stars In The Unbearable Weight Of Mᴀssive Talent Alongside Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage Isn’t The Only Big Star In The Unbearable Weight Of Mᴀssive Talent

The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent may be centered around Nicolas Cage, but the actor shares the spotlight with plenty of other notable stars. Specifically, Javi, the wealthy fan whom Cage befriends in the film, is played by another world-famous Hollywood actor: Pedro Pascal. Though Cage naturally delivers a hilarious and charismatic performance, his co-star matches him quite well in the film thanks to his incredible comedic skills, making this one of Pedro Pascal’s best movies as well.

The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent also features several other popular and award-winning actors, who either fill the world of Hollywood that Cage is accustomed to or the world of espionage that he pretends to be an expert in on-screen. These stars include Sharon Horgan, Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Paco León, Neil Patrick Harris, and Demi Moore. Halloween director David Gordon Green even makes a cameo appearance as a fictional version of himself.

The film both honors and spoofs its iconic lead actor while making full use of his talents, as well as the talents of co-star Pedro Pascal.

All in all, The Unbearable Weight of Mᴀssive Talent is a star-studded, satirical, and exhilarating movie that demands to be seen on Netflix. The film both honors and spoofs its iconic lead actor and his previous movies while making full use of his talents. It also takes advantage of the talents of Cage’s mega co-star, Pedro Pascal. It’s a far cry from the many other action movies in Cage’s filmography, and it’s far from a typical comedy. It’s a distinctive and unforgettable adventure that stands out from the several other movies currently on Netflix.
