Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Gets Daredevil: Born Again Poster Treatment With Tom Hardy’s Venom

Following the release of the Daredevil: Born Again poster, Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man 3, featuring Tom Hardy’s Venom, gets the Marvel Cinematic Universe-style treatment. Ever since his return in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, many Marvel fans have been crossing their fingers that Sony Pictures will resurrect Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man 3 movie, which was initially going to happen after his 2014 sequel. Currently, Sony Pictures has not announced any official plans yet for Garfield’s Peter Parker to get another solo film.

Even if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 isn’t on the table for the foreseeable future, fans are still pitching ideas for what a hypothetical Garfield-led sequel could focus on if it ever happens. Arifinity shared a new poster artwork for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, with Garfield’s Peter variant pitched to take on Tom Hardy’s Venom. Check it out below:

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 poster with Garfield and Hardy is directly inspired by the new Daredevil: Born Again poster, which has Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Charlie Cox’s тιтular MCU hero. While Cox wasn’t on-screen with Garfield’s iteration of the web-crawler, the MCU veteran did have a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home as the attorney for Tom Holland’s Peter.

What The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Art Means For Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man

Ever since Hardy debuted as the тιтular anti-hero in the Venom movie back in 2018, many have wanted to see Eddie Brock battle Garfield’s Spider-Man. While Sony Pictures never made it official, there were several popular theories that Sony’s Spider-Man Universe was tied to Garfield’s short-lived franchise. Given the similar tone and the ambiguous status of Spider-Man in the franchise, there was definitely a possibility of connecting the two properties.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 fan art showcases again how many would have loved to see Garfield and Hardy share the screen together as their respective Marvel characters. It would have also given Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man film series that chance to finally get to the symbiote saga, which would have been a natural point for him to go through after Gwen Stacy’s death. With the setup for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 after Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s shocking not to have at least heard Sony Pictures is considering the idea of another film for Garfield.

Our Take On The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Art

While time will tell if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will ever happen, the new Marvel fan-art highlights how perfect it would be to see Hardy and Garfield’s characters have a showdown. Even though Hardy’s time with the Venom character is seemingly done after Venom: The Last Dance, Garfield’s Spider-Man showing up again in the MCU again seems very much possible. If it’s not through The Amazing Spider-Man 3, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will hopefully feature him at least one more time before The Multiverse Saga is over.
