Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne led the 2024 sci-fi film SlingsH๏τ, but the psychological thriller also featured several other acclaimed actors. Despite reviews for SlingsH๏τ being quite different from audience reactions – it scored just 38% with critics but 68% with audiences on Rotten Tomatoes – the sci-fi thriller is one of the best movies on Paramount+. A big reason SlingsH๏τ is worth watching is because of its star-studded cast that features Oscar and Emmy-winning actors from both America and the United Kingdom.
SlingsH๏τ follows the crew of the Odyssey I, a spaceship sent on a mission to collect fuel and resources from тιтan, a moon of Jupiter. Due to the length of their journey, the crew has to periodically enter and exit a drug-induced hibernation known as hypersleep. Unfortunately, the drugs used in hypersleep cause severe psychological repercussions, and the Odyssey I quickly becomes the setting for a claustrophobic psycholocial thriller. With only a few characters in such small quarters, the cast of SlingsH๏τ had a tall order, but they were more than talented enough to deliver.
