Holly and Adam recently showed their support for Gordon at the launch of the chef’s new Netflix show. The pair posed at the premiere of the six-part documentary last week, alongside other members of his family such as wife Tana and Holly’s sister Tilly.
Holly turned heads in a burgundy mini dress paired with silver heels, while Adam looked sharp in a tailored suit. Gordon’s doc sees him open his five-restaurant business in Bishopsgate, London.
However, he also makes a number of revelations about his family and personal life. He reflected on welcoming his son-in-law Adam into the family in the documentary.
He said of the Olympic swimmer: “The good news for me as a dad is that he is focused and on it. He’s a gent, an absolute thoroughbred, and to see her walk down the aisle is going to be incredible.”
Being Gordon Ramsay was filmed before daughter Holly wed Adam at Bath Abbey last December, but Gordon admitted he knew he would be an emotional wreck on Holly’s big day.
He admitted: “I’m gonna be a sack of s*** man, it’s going to be hard enough to get out of the car. We always say the most important family is the one you create, and she comes from an incredible family, so it’s now her own time to make her own.”Gordon’s wife Tana said in the show that she noticed the “happiness and glow” in Holly after she suffered “one or two tough times in the last year”. She said: “It’s happened quite naturally, welcoming Adam into our family, and he comes with this incredible bonus that’s his little boy, George.”
Gordon also detailed how difficult it is to balance family time with his incredibly busy work schedule. He and Tana share three daughters, Megan, Holly and Matilda, and three sons, Jack, Oscar and Jesse. He admitted he’s felt “guilt” at not always being around and that he now wants to be there for his youngest kids. “I wasn’t a s*** dad the first time around, I just wasn’t there that much,” he said in the doc.Gordon went on: “I absolutely adore the kids. There’s part of that love and affection that is built up from guilt. The older ones have made it clear, you know, ‘can we see you more? Do you need to work this hard?’ and ‘Dad, we miss you.’ And that’s hard. That’s hard.””But I think I’ll make more time for Oscar and Jesse. Just psychologically, I want to make more time for them because I don’t want them to say, ‘You missed my first day of school, you missed my play, you missed my football match.’He added: “I feel… didn’t let them down, I feel like I could have been there a bit more truthfully. But I’m s**t at nativity plays, I’m s**t at Christmas carols, I’m s*** at sports day because I want to compete and beat all the dads. And so maybe it was a good thing I didn’t do that.”
