France Officially Enters the West Asian Conflict: Rafale Fighters Patrol UAE Skies to Intercept Iranian Drones and Missiles!
Amidst Operation Epic Fury escalating Middle Eastern tensions (US-Israeli airstrikes against Iran, Iran retaliating with hundreds of missiles/drones targeting Israel and US bases in the Gulf states), France has deployed Rafale fighter jets (from Al Dhafra base near Abu Dhabi) to protect UAE airspace and French military facilities!
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot confirmed that Rafale fighters and pilots were deployed to “ensure the security of our facilities” after a French hangar in the UAE was attacked by Iranian drones (possibly unintentionally, as the base is shared with UAE forces). The Rafale aircraft conducted combat air patrols, intercepting and neutralizing Iranian drones targeting UAE airspace – shifting from a “surveillance” role to direct action!

France has hundreds of naval, air, and army personnel in the UAE, with a binding defense agreement protecting its Gulf allies (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait). President Macron also deployed the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle from the Baltic to the Mediterranean to provide support, along with air defense systems and airborne radar. France also allowed US aircraft to use some bases to “protect its Gulf partners”—a sign that Europe is beginning to participate more actively in defense!
The consequences:

UAE airspace was shaken by explosions from the drone interception, and smoke and flames engulfed the bases!
Drone debris flew everywhere, and sirens blared—Iran threatened that any country “invading” would become a legitimate target!

This is a turning point: France is no longer completely neutral, ready to protect its interests and allies against the Iranian threat. Will Paris expand its role? Or is this a “red line” that Iran must reconsider? The situation is changing by the hour – follow the images of Rafale patrols, the downed Iranian drone, and the latest updates!
