Germany 2014: Die Mannschaft – From Hell to Championship Paradise!

VIDEO:

In 2014, the German national team wrote one of the greatest resurrection stories in World Cup history. After the 7-1 semi-final tragedy against Brazil that stunned the world, Die Mannschaft, under the guidance of Joachim Löw, did not collapse. They rose like a steel machine and reached the final in Rio de Janeiro.

In the 113th minute of extra time, Mario Götze – a super subsтιтute – received the ball from André Schürrle, controlled it with his chest, and then volleyed it exquisitely past goalkeeper Romero. This fateful golden goal gave Germany a 1-0 victory over Argentina, their fourth world тιтle and the first European team to win on South American soil.
Manuel Neuer soared in goal, Toni Kroos dictated the tempo, Thomas Müller and Philipp Lahm provided the morale. It was a victory of discipline, character, and supreme collective strength.

More than 10 years have pᴀssed, but the memory of that “German machine” still amazes football fans worldwide. The team made millions of Vietnamese people sit in front of their screens, their hearts pounding late into the night in Saigon.

What moment do you remember most from Germany in 2014? Götze’s golden goal, the horrific 7-1 victory, or the image of the whole team celebrating wildly at the Maracanã stadium?
