On March 26, 2026, at the Rodriguez Live-Fire Complex in the Republic of Korea, soldiers of the 12th Marine Littoral Regiment conducted a dramatic and intense battalion-wide Combined Arms Live-Fire Exercise.
This was a company-level combat exercise in which fire, mobility, and reconnaissance units were closely integrated to enhance combat effectiveness and overall unit readiness. The Marines simulated a coordinated attack on a designated target, continuously practicing simultaneous fire support, rapid movement under fire, and real-time intelligence gathering in a dynamic and complex battlefield environment.
With the motto “Littoral Regiment” – a coastal force specializing in dispersed combat operations in the Pacific region – the 12th Marine Littoral Regiment is being trained in the spirit of modernity: flexibility, agility, and multi-layered coordination between firepower, mobility, and reconnaissance. This exercise helps soldiers hone their skills in synchronizing firepower with infantry movement, ensuring that when entering a real battlefield, every unit can act as a perfect fighting machine.

The exercise not only enhances the individual combat capabilities of each Marine but also strengthens the inter-unit coordination within the 12th Marine Littoral Regiment. In the context of the increasingly complex security situation in the Indo-Pacific region, exercises like the Combined Arms Live-Fire Exercise at the Rodriguez Live-Fire Complex are crucial preparation for the US forces to respond quickly, accurately, and effectively to any unexpected situation.
This event once again reaffirms the U.S. Marine Corps’ strong commitment to maintaining deterrence and high combat readiness in the Asia-Pacific region. Each live-fire exercise, each movement under intense fire, serves as a clear reminder: the 12th Marine Littoral Regiment is always ready, always at the forefront, and always the most reliable U.S. force in the region.
With the spirit of “First to Fight,” the Marines of the 12th Regiment continue to ᴀssert their position as one of the most elite and rigorously trained forces in the U.S. military in South Korea – where every exercise today could become a real combat situation at any moment.
