A major escalation is being reported as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a new wave of missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military bases across the Middle East.

According to statements from Iranian state-linked sources, the latest strikes are part of an ongoing campaign—often referred to as “Operation True Promise”—aimed at retaliating against recent U.S. and Israeli military actions. The IRGC claims that multiple U.S. bases in countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates have been targeted in coordinated waves.

Explosions and air defense activity have been reported across several Gulf locations during previous waves, with missiles and drones launched simultaneously to overwhelm defenses. Some reports also claim strikes on radar systems, airfields, and logistical hubs used by U.S. forces.
The latest announcement follows repeated IRGC statements promising continued and intensified retaliation, with officials warning that attacks would not stop until what they describe as “strategic objectives” are achieved.

However, independent verification remains limited, and U.S. or allied officials have not confirmed the full scale of damage claimed in these statements. In many previous incidents, a significant number of incoming missiles and drones were intercepted before impact.

Recent verified reporting does confirm that the conflict has expanded, including missile launches toward distant targets and increasing attacks on regional bases, signaling a widening battlefield.

The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides continuing operations and the risk of further large-scale escalation growing across the region.
