According to a regional correspondent, recent strikes were reported to have focused on major fuel storage facilities in Tehran, with dozens of oil tanks believed to have been targeted. The operation was described by analysts as part of a broader campaign aimed at critical government-linked infrastructure.

Iranian state media confirmed that a fuel depot in southern Tehran, near the capital’s main refinery complex, was struck during the attacks. However, reports from the ILNA news agency indicated that the refinery itself was not damaged. Iran’s National Oil Refining and Distribution Company later acknowledged that several energy sites in Tehran and the neighboring Alborz province were hit, triggering fires at multiple storage locations.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced strikes on an oil refinery in Haifa, stating that a Kheibarshekan missile was used in the operation.
On the same evening, rockets were also launched toward the heavily secured Green Zone in Baghdad, where the United States Embᴀssy is located. Security sources said most projectiles were intercepted by defense systems, with one landing in an open area inside the compound without causing major damage.
The incident marked a significant escalation, reflecting growing regional tensions following a series of reciprocal military actions.
