A serious security incident has been reported after drones struck the U.S. Embᴀssy in Riyadh, causing a fire inside the diplomatic compound as regional tensions continue to intensify.
According to official statements from Saudi defense authorities, at least two drones hit the embᴀssy, triggering a limited fire and minor structural damage within the compound. Witnesses reported a loud explosion followed by smoke rising over the diplomatic district.

Emergency response teams quickly moved in to contain the blaze, and security forces sealed off the surrounding area. Initial reports confirm that no casualties were recorded, as parts of the facility were not fully occupied at the time of the attack.

The strike is believed to be part of a broader wave of attacks targeting U.S. and allied ᴀssets across the region amid escalating conflict. In response, the U.S. mission in Saudi Arabia issued a “shelter in place” advisory for American citizens in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dhahran, warning of ongoing risks.

The incident underscores a widening battlefield where not only military bases but also diplomatic facilities are increasingly becoming targets. Regional governments remain on high alert as further attacks cannot be ruled out.
The situation remains highly volatile as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East.
