When Will The Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Release?

With just about nine months until the next MCU Spider-Man movie hits theaters, the discussion of when the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer will release has already begun. The film will be Tom Holland’s fourth solo Marvel movie in the franchise, and will be the next and final MCU installment to release before Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters next December.

The story of Spider-Man: Brand New Day isn’t currently known, but it has quite a few connections to the wider MCU, with Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Michael Mando reprising their roles as The Punisher, Hulk and Scorpion, respectively. There are also some new characters that have yet to be revealed, played by Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear).

Since Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases on July 31, 2026, speculation has begun about when the trailer might release. Predicting when a trailer will release is an imperfect science, especially given quite a lot depends on the studio and the nature of the movie. For instance, the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer didn’t release until four months before the film hit theaters, but it was a very secretive movie.

However, Brand New Day hasn’t been quite so secretive, with Holland releasing multiple behind-the-scenes videos from the set since filming began. So when will the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer release? Here are our best guesses.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Trailer Could Release In 2025

According to TrailerTrack, there are “rumblings” the first teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day could release in time to play in theaters when Disney’s Avatar: Fire and Ash debuts Dec. 19. It’s common practice for studios to use major theatrical releases as a chance to preview their upcoming slate through trailers, and though Spider-Man: Brand New Day is distributed by Sony, it is co-produced by Marvel Studios, which is under the Disney umbrella.

As such, it’s entirely possible the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day could be tied to the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, but Disney might also want to reserve that slot solely for Avengers: Doomsday. The fifth Avengers movie is arguably Disney’s biggest film of 2026, and it has the coveted December release slot, so the Mouse House might want to give audiences a sneak peek in theaters.

If that’s the case, we may need to wait until next year for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer. It could potentially be tied to Super Bowl LX, which will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026. This would roughly line up with the timeline of Spider-Man: Far From Home’s first trailer release, which was in January 2019 ahead of that film’s July 5, 2019, release date.

However, Sony typically sits out the Super Bowl. The studio hasn’t debuted any trailers during the Big Game for the last five years, while Marvel Studios and Disney have had regular appearances. Since Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a co-production, perhaps that means its trailer could be timed with the Super Bowl, but it seems unlikely.

If the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer doesn’t release with Avatar: Fire and Ash in December, it seems more probable that Sony will debut the teaser at a random time in early 2026, whether that’s January, February or March. It’s unlikely to release later than March because that would give the studio less than four months to promote one of their biggest movies of the year.

So, while the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer doesn’t have a firm release date, we know it’s coming within the next five months — hopefully sooner rather than later.
