Incredible Star Wars LEGO Custom Recreates The Mandalorian’s New Razor Crest (7 Months Before Its Debut)

7 months before Star Wars‘ return to the big screen with The Mandalorian and Grogu, a new custom LEGO set has been revealed for Din Djarin’s brand-new Razor Crest. Although his original ship was destroyed in The Mandalorian season 2, it seems the bounty hunter will be getting his hands on a new model while working alongside the New Republic.

In 2022, LEGO released the Ultimate Collector Series Razor Crest (75331), a major model featuring over 6,000 pieces and five minifigures. Although the set is set to retire by the end of this year, one collector has revealed their designs to update the UCS Razor Crest model for the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie in 2026 (and it’s quite impressive).

LEGO’s Official UCS Razor Crest Has Already Received An Epic Custom Mod

Posted on Rebrickable by designer aachthor, builders can purchase the instructions and part lists to modify their own UCS Razor Crests, making them look like the new ship seen in The Mandalorian and Grogu’s first trailer. The biggest difference is that this new iteration features more yellow accents compared to the previous model, which is indeed reflected in aachthor’s design.

However, other changes to the official LEGO model are also featured, making the interior far more accurate to the ship’s depiction in The Mandalorian television series, like additional rooms, key adjustments, and new features inspired by what we know about the original Razor Crest from the show and other canonical materials.

It’s quite an amazing mod overall, enhancing what was already a pretty cool official LEGO model to begin with. While it’s unknown if The LEGO Group will ever re-release the UCS Razor Crest to reflect the new variant we’ll be seeing in the upcoming movie, it’s nice to see that LEGO fans already have it covered.

Why A New Razor Crest Makes More Sense Than Din Djarin’s Custom N-1 Starfighter

The Razor Crest in The Mandalorian and Grogu

Some fans may be sad to see Din Djarin’s N-1 Naboo Starfighter go in favor of a new Razor Crest in The Mandalorian and Grogu. After all, the incredibly fast and cool-looking ship was built by Din Djarin himself in The Book of Boba Fett, and was piloted with great success in The Mandalorian season 3.

That being said, the ship really only had room for Djarin and Grogu. That would certainly make Djarin’s new work with the New Republic tricky, seeing as how he’s now contracted with the Adelphi Rangers to help track down Imperial Remnant warlords. Where would he put his targets once caught (warm or cold)?

With that in mind, securing a new model of the previous ship will serve as a great callback to the show’s first two seasons, while the Razor Crest’s extra yellow highlights will act as a nice homage to the N-1 at the same time.

The Mandalorian and Grogu releases in theaters on May 22nd, 2026
