Following the release of LEGO’s first-ever $1000 model with the UCS Death Star, it’s exciting to think about what other Star Wars models LEGO may one day give the Ultimate Collector Series treatment, featuring the highest piece-counts and most accurate details. Of course, there are plenty of starships and iconic Star Wars locations to choose from.
Released on October 1st, LEGO’s UCS Death Star (75419) features over 9,000 pieces with nearly 40 minifigures, a mᴀssive cross-section display of the iconic superweapon. Now, it’s fun to think about what’s coming next, and how LEGO could one day top it. Here are our 10 biggest hopes for future LEGO Star Wars UCS sets, both ships and locations.
The Mandalorian’s Custom N-1 Naboo Starfighter
2022 saw the release of LEGO’s UCS Razor Crest, a 6,187-piece model inspired by Din Djarin’s first ship, seen in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian before it was blown up by the Imperial Remnant’s Moff Gideon.
However, we now know that Djarin and his adoptive son will be getting a brand-new Razor Crest as seen in the first trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu movie releasing next year. Seeing as how we already have a UCS Razor Crest model, it would be pretty cool to get a UCS model of The Mandalorian’s custom N-1 Naboo Starfighter instead.
The N-1 was the fighter Djarin built and flew in The Book of Boba Fett and Mandalorian season 3. LEGO did release a playscale N-1 Naboo Starfighter (75325) in 2022, but a UCS version has yet to be made. Just imagine how awesome it would be to have both of Din Djarin’s iconic ships on the shelf with fully detailed display models.
Darth Vader’s Super Star Destroyer (The Executor)
According to online rumors, next year’s UCS Star Wars set from LEGO will be a new model of The Executor, Darth Vader’s Super Star Destroyer that first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.
2011 saw the release of a UCS Executor that was 3,152 pieces, featuring five minifigures and a small interior. We also got a midi-scale LEGO Star Wars model with 2023’s Super Star Destroyer (75356).
That said, a UCS Super Star Destroyer in 2026 could be very exciting, perhaps being even bigger than the original. With the new UCS Death Star having over 9,000 pieces, the upper limits are quite high compared to LEGO’s previous SSD model.
The Ghost From Star Wars Rebels/Ahsoka
The Ghost has been featured in several key space battles, as seen in Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka. It’s also home to the Rebel cell known as The Spectres (Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Zeb Orellios, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and Chopper).
Aside from Kanan, who sacrificed himself in the final season of Rebels, each of the Spectres has made the jump to live-action with multiple upcoming Star Wars appearances in the next few years, and that presumably includes The Ghost as well.
Keeping that in mind, a UCS model of The Ghost makes all the sense in the world following LEGO’s previous two playscale models, perhaps having a piece-count on par with the UCS Razor Crest (just over 6,000).
Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor (Revenge of the Sith)
Although one might have hoped for a UCS model this year to celebrate Revenge of the Sith’s 20th anniversary, it would still be great if Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Interceptor was given the UCS treatment one day. Not unlike 2010’s Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Attack of the Clones Jedi starfighter, Anakin’s Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor could have a similar piece count of around 600-700 pieces.
Princess Leia’s Tantive IV (50th Anniversary)
In the past, we’ve already had a UCS model of the Tantive IV back in 2001, along with playscale versions and a recent midi-scale model of the first ship ever seen in the entire Star Wars franchise. However, the Tantive IV is certainly due for an updated UCS design, and what better time for LEGO to release one than in 2027 for the 50th anniversary of Star Wars?
Poe Dameron’s T-70 X-Wing
One of the coolest ships in the entire sequel trilogy, Poe Dameron’s black-and-orange T-70 X-Wing, featured in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
A playscale model was released in 2015, though it certainly feels like it’s about time for a UCS model. It would also be cool if it were to scale with a similar piece count to 2023’s UCS X-Wing Starfighter (75355), which has just over 1,900 pieces.
ARC-170 (Revenge of the Sith)
This year brought us the ARC-170 Starfighter (75402), the first playscale model of the classic Clone Wars-era ship since 2010. As great as that is, one can also hope for a UCS model down the line, perhaps for Revenge of the Sith’s 25th anniversary, where the ship first appeared
Coruscant’s Galactic Senate
While most are ships, some UCS Star Wars models are locations like the Death Star models, Ewok Village (10236), and ᴀssault on H๏τh (75098). Keeping that in mind, I really do think a UCS model of the Galactic Senate Chamber would be amazing, one of the unique and stunning locations in the entire Star Wars franchise.
The easiest and most practical means of depicting it would most likely be a half-circle diorama using force-perspective techniques for the multiple levels of repulsorpods.
Minifigures of Darth Sidious and Yoda could be included to recreate their epic lightsaber duel in Revenge of the Sith, but also have key members of the Republic/Imperial Senate like Mas Amedda, Representative Jar Jar Binks, Padmé Amidala, Chancellor Valorum, Bail Organa, and especially Mon Mothma to recreate her incredible Andor season 2 scene where she publicly defies the Emperor.
Geonosian Arena (Attack of the Clones)
Inexplicably, LEGO has yet to make a Geonosian Arena from Attack of the Clones, playscale or otherwise.
In terms of a UCS model, it’s not hard to imagine a half ring of stands with some Genosian onlookers, and three central pillars with minifigures of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padmé as they’re set to be executed by a trio of gladiatorial alien creatures (a reek, nexu, and acklay).
Minifigures of Mace Windu and the multiple Jedi Knights who came to the rescue could be included, alongside Count Dooku, Jango Fett and his son Boba, and the rest of the Separatist leaders. Throw in some droids and clones, and you’ve got yourself a really awesome UCS battle set on par with 2016’s ᴀssault on H๏τh (75098).
Jedi Temple (Interiors and Exteriors)
Last but not least is the long-hoped-for UCS model of Coruscant’s Jedi Temple, another key Star Wars location LEGO has yet to touch in any form. A major location in the prequels for the Jedi Order, the Jedi Temple eventually became Palpatine’s Imperial Palace following the Jedi Purge known as Order 66.
As seen in the video above, sites like Brickvault.com sell instructions and part lists for custom UCS Jedi Temple models, with this one in particular designed by Interstellar Bricks, an absolutely mᴀssive model with over 11,000 bricks, featuring some incredibly detailed exteriors and some truly awesome interior components like the Jedi Council chamber and Jedi Archive.
When and if LEGO ever makes an official version of the Jedi Temple, it would likely be the set that tops the newly released UCS Death Star.
