New Ted Lᴀsso episodes may not be coming until 2026, but one of the hit Apple TV+ show’s main stars is currently atop the streamer’s top 10 chart anyway, thanks to his new romantic science fiction movie.
Jason Sudeikis’ comedy series about an American football coach taking over an English soccer team became an unlikely smash hit for Apple’s streaming service when it premiered back in 2020, taking the crown as the streamer’s most-watched show ever (until Severance told it to go devour some feculence).
Viewers’ thirst for entertainment during lockdown no doubt played a role in Ted Lᴀsso’s success, but its haul at the Emmys proved its popularity was about more than just timing. With Ted Lᴀsso season 4 now confirmed, one of the show’s Emmy-winning stars is enjoying a run atop the streamer’s top 10 movie chart.
Brett Goldstein’s All Of You Is A Hit On Apple TV+
Brett Goldstein plays the foul-mouthed Roy Kent on Ted Lᴀsso, but he’s currently showing his range by leaving behind his gruff soccer star persona for the romantic science fiction movie All of You, which just premiered on September 26 and is already a hit for Apple TV+
Imogen Poots stars alongside Goldstein in the newly-minted streaming success, which just sH๏τ to #1 on Apple TV+ for September 27.
Our Take On All Of You Being A Streaming Hit
Apple TV+ has carved out a small niche in the streaming world as a purveyor of Earth-bound science fiction with a romantic angle. They struck gold earlier in 2025 with The Gorge, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller as snipers who fall for each other while guarding the тιтular geological feature.
All of You made its premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and was picked up by Apple TV+ in December, suggesting they had a strategy in mind when acquiring the тιтle at the same time they were preparing to release The Gorge.
That strategy appears to be working so far, as subscribers are giving All of You a look months after making The Gorge a hit. Just as Taylor-Joy and Teller slowly bonded in that film, despite the literal gap between them, so do Goldstein and Poots dance around their true feelings in the new film, co-written by Goldstein himself.
Even as Apple TV+ plants its flag on the very small bit of land that is the romantic sci-fi movie genre, its overall science fiction plans are working out too, thanks to series like the aforementioned Severance, as well as Silo, Foundation and Murderbot.
Goldstein is indeed proving to have the golden touch when it comes to creating content for Apple TV+, as All of You joins Ted Lᴀsso in racking up views for the streaming service.
