The Fantastic Four: First Steps Is Now Available To Watch At Home

The Fantastic Four: First Steps can now be seen for the first time by a large number of fans as it becomes available to watch at home. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a rocky year when it comes to theaters. All three of the MCU’s 2025 movies underperformed at the box office, no matter how positive the reviews were.

At the time of writing, The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ worldwide total stands at $520.3 million. That sum is enough to make it the highest-grossing MCU movie of the year, as well as the top performer among live-action Fantastic Four movies. That said, projections were higher, so that means many fans did not show up in theaters for Marvel’s First Family.

While that definitely did not help the film’s theatrical run, The Fantastic Four: First Steps can now find new life as it becomes available to watch through other channels. There will be many viewers watching it for the first time, helping set up the team’s return in one of the MCU’s biggest upcoming movies: Avengers: Doomsday.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps can now be watched at home, with the movie available on digital as of September 23. Those interested in rewatching the MCU film’s many exciting moments or getting to know the Fantastic Four for the first time can buy/rent the movie on digital retailers, such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and more.

The MCU Fantastic Four movie will also have a physical release. The Marvel film will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 14, three weeks after its digital release. At this time, Marvel Studios has yet to announce when The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released on Disney+. That said, that should happen after its physical release.

Will The Fantastic Four: First Steps Sequel Happen?

While The Fantastic Four: First Steps might have underperformed based on the projections for the film, the MCU entry was still positively received by fans and critics alike. It has also been crowned the MCU’s highest-grossing 2025 movie and the best performer in the Fantastic Four franchise. As such, it could be the starting point of a trilogy.

The MCU’s franchises are known to grow at the box office after the first movie, so the same could happen to the Fantastic Four. Adding to that, the team is confirmed to play a crucial role in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.

By having the heroes be central to what could be the MCU’s biggest movies ever, a sequel to The Fantastic Four: First Steps looks likely. If the movie exhibits a solid performance on digital and whenever it releases on Disney+, it would further help the MCU Fantastic Four franchise walk down that path.
