10 Avengers: Doomsday Characters Thanos Would Easily Kill In The MCU

Avengers: Doomsday‘s list of characters includes many Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes who would not be able to defeat Thanos. The Mad тιтan was the main villain of the MCU for its most successful period, the Infinity Saga. Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom now leads the MCU Avengers franchise as the villain of the team’s next two movies, with Thanos ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.

However, that might not be the end of the line for the Marvel villain. After all, the multiverse offers plenty of possibilities for how Thanos could return to play a role in Avengers: Doomsday‘s story. While he was not announced for the cast of the next Avengers movie, Josh Brolin has teased a possible return as Thanos over the years.

In the comics’ version of Secret Wars, which connects to 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars, Thanos is killed by Doctor Doom. The Mad тιтan could return to serve in the same role as the source material. Whether he comes back to the MCU or not, what is known is that Thanos would easily kill many Avengers: Doomsday characters, such as the following:

M’Baku

First, it is important to note that the list is in no specific order. Now, M’Baku is one of the weakest characters confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday. The hero relies on brute force and hand-to-hand fighting skills to get things done. Thanos would not even have to break a sweat to kill him.

The reason for that is simple. Thanos’ power levels, even without the Infinity Gauntlet, are too high for M’Baku. After all, the Mad тιтan was able to easily defeat the Hulk in a straight fight. Thanos was doing so for fun, just to prove he could. As such, M’Baku would not stand a chance.

Falcon

Joaquin Torres, the MCU’s new Falcon, would be a nuisance to Thanos due to his flight skills. However, that is nothing that the Space Stone would not quickly resolve. Even if no Infinity Stones were part of the equation, Thanos would never be hurt by the Falcon. At best, he could be surprised at first.

However, it is important to note that Torres is not yet at the height of his abilities. The character showed that in Captain America: Brave New World, where he nearly died after a high-speed aerial chase. A hero who is still learning would be easily defeated by Thanos. Without powers, the Mad тιтan would beat him up savagely.

Captain America (Sam Wilson)

Like the Falcon, the MCU’s new Captain America, Sam Wilson, would be no match for Thanos. Sam’s first solo movie in the MCU ended with the perfect example of how such a fight would play out. In the film, Captain America was tasked with stopping Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk after he transformed.

Captain America does not possess powers, making Sam different from Steve Rogers. Still, even with the help of Vibranium wings and the Captain America shield, Sam could barely survive against Red Hulk. He only lived because he managed to talk him down. By killing his daughter, Gamora, Thanos showed that no one would be able to convince him to stop. Cap would die.

Yelena Belova

There is not much Yelena Belova could do against Thanos. At best, the MCU’s new Black Widow could follow what her sister, Natasha Romanoff, did, taking the fight to some of Thanos’ Black Order lackeys. However, as a human with no powers, Yelena simply does not possess the skills to fight Thanos.

If Thanos were to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, a fight between the two would be possible. After all, Yelena is a key figure in the MCU’s New Avengers, as seen in Thunderbolts*. While her leadership skills are impressive, she would be crushed rather easily in a direct fight against Thanos.

Ghost

Ghost could irritate Thanos a little if they were to fight. The character is responsible for one of the most interesting powers in the MCU, being able to phase through people and objects at will. Ghost would be an incredible distraction employed by the MCU’s heroes against Thanos. However, it would not be more than that.

If he were to get a hold of her, Thanos could severely injure Ghost with one hit. Additionally, Thanos could end her phasing abilities with the use of the Reality Stone, making her an easy target. Based on that, while Ghost could last longer if Thanos did not have the Infinity Stones, she would die instantly if he had them.

Shuri

The MCU’s new Black Panther almost died in her first movie as the hero. Shuri was able to use the environment to take down Namor, who was clearly more powerful than her. While she is one of the MCU’s smartest people and sports the same Black Panther powers T’Challa had, Thanos would still win.

When talking about Thanos, we are referring to a character who put together a plan to steal multiple Infinity Stones, defeat several heroes, and kill half the universe, being successful in the end. Thanos is unlikely to be outsmarted by Shuri, and in a direct fight, he would kill her with or without the Infinity Gauntlet.

Mystique

Mystique is a character who could only hope to disrupt Thanos. She is not nearly powerful enough to take on the villain in a fight. Sadly, even when it comes to her greatest skill, the ability to shape-shift into anyone she wants, the character would not be able to fool Thanos.

The MCU already showed what happens when one tries that tactic against the Mad тιтan. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki did not live to tell the tale after he attempted to stab Thanos, getting close by pretending he was on his side. As soon as Thanos realized he was engaging Mystique, she would be ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.

Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler’s ability to teleport could make him a great weapon against many MCU villains. Sadly, Thanos is not one of them. The Mad тιтan simply operates on a power level that only heroes like Captain Marvel, Thor, the Scarlet Witch, and so on could seriously injure him.

The X-Men character could only accomplish what Spider-Man did in Avengers: Infinity War. With ᴀssistance from Doctor Strange’s portals, Spider-Man got a few surprise punches and kicks in before Thanos stopped his attacks. Nightcrawler would have the surprise factor, but Thanos would not let it last. In the end, the mutant would be blood on the pavement.

Red Guardian

Red Guardian might be a super soldier, but that would not stop him from being killed by Thanos in Avengers: Doomsday. After all, the character is an aging hero, and his serum to get super strength was not even a high-level one to begin with. As such, Red Guardian is past his peak.

The character is still strong, but not enough to fight Thanos. The Mad тιтan’s easy victory against the Hulk leaves no room for Red Guardian to surprise him in a fistfight. He would die without getting many punches in, if any. Given his connection to Yelena, if Thanos were to return in Avengers: Doomsday, Red Guardian is a prime candidate for an emotional death.

John Walker

Finally, another super soldier who would not win against Thanos is the US Agent. John Walker is strong, being at peak physical shape for a human before he was handed the super soldier serum. However, he could barely hold his own against Sentry in Thunderbolts*. Thanos and Sentry’s power levels are closer than the US Agent’s to any of them.

As such, if Thanos were to fight Walker, he could kill him quickly if the villain went all out. Without Mjolnir, Chris Evans’ Captain America had held Thanos’ hand back as his biggest feat against the Mad тιтan. US Agent would do no better. Now, it stands to be seen whether Thanos will return in Avengers: Doomsday, but if he does, deaths are expected.
