Jason Statham & Sylvester Stallone’s 2025 Action Thriller Is Dominating Streaming

A Working Man has been dominating streaming charts for the past week. Directed by David Ayer, who co-wrote the script with Sylvester Stallone based on the 2014 novel Levon’s Trade by Chuck Dixon, the 2025 action thriller stars Jason Statham as an ex-Marine-turned construction worker who must revive his combat skills in order to rescue his boss’s kidnapped daughter.

Starring alongside Jason Statham, A Working Man‘s cast also includes two-time Emmy nominee David Harbour (Stranger Things), Michael Peña, Jason Flemyng, Merab Ninidze, Maximilian Osinski, Cokey Falkow, Noemi Gonzalez, Arianna Rivas, Emmett J. Scanlan, Eve Mauro, Chidi Ajufo, David Witts, Richard Heap, Isla Gie, Kristina Poli, Greg Kolpakchi, Piotr Witkowski, Chidi Ajufo, Ricky Champ, Max Croes, and Kenneth Collard.

A Working Man ranks first on Amazon Prime Video’s Top 10 movies in the United States for today, and has been in the top 10 for the past week. It ranks above Black Bag, Last Breath, The Map That Leads to You, The Bourne Legacy, Jason Statham’s Wrath of Man, The Bourne Idenтιтy, Thirteen Lives, The Bourne Ultimatum, and The Pickup.

A Working Man also ranks first on MGM+’s Top 10 overall тιтles in the United States, where it has been in the top 10 for the past 76 days. It currently ranks above The Insтιтute, Let the Devil In, From, Billy the Kid, Godfather of Harlem, Jason Statham’s The Beekeeper, Overlord, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and SAS: Rogue Heroes.

What A Working Man’s Streaming Success Means For The Movie

Released in theaters this past March, A Working Man made a modest $98 million at the box office against its $40 million budget, but it seems to be faring much better on streaming. It seems that, in the current theatrical landscape, Jason Statham vehicles are no longer big box office draws, but they do tend to perform exceptionally well on streaming, with Wrath of Man (2021) and The Beekeeper (2024) also currently in MGM+ and Prime Video’s Top 10.

Our Take On A Working Man’s Streaming Success

A Working Man is far from the best-reviewed Statham film, evidenced by its 47% score on Rotten Tomatoes, though audiences rarely watch his movies because of critical acclaim. A Working Man is a no-frills action flick, serving up the core thrills expected from a Statham film while leaving little room for flair. Statham, steady as ever, anchors the straightforward shoot-em-up with his signature intensity, making for a solid dose of popcorn entertainment.
