Marvel Cinematic Universe star Tom Holland reunites with his original trilogy co-stars in new Spider-Man: Brand New Day set pH๏τo. 2026 will mark the return of the beloved web-slinger in the MCU timeline, as the British star is finally reprising the popular superhero in Phase 6.

While details are being kept heavily under wraps about the Spider-Man: Brand New Day story, the plot will focus on Peter Parker operating on his own, following the conclusion of his 2021 film. As principal pH๏τography is currently underway with Destin Daniel Cretton helming the film, more glimpses of the movie are making their way online, building more excitement for the audience.

The latest set pH๏τo (via @zendayacollective) recently revealed two fans on the set of Cretton’s movie, featuring Holland in his new superhero costume for his 2026 return. However, the leading star is also together with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who are returning to the franchise for the first time since 2021.

The image sees Zendaya’s MJ covered up in a hoodie, while Batalon’s Ned Leeds is sporting an M.I.T. t-shirt. Other returning MCU cast members that are set to appear in the film include Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.

What The Spider-Man: Brand New Day Reunion Means

While it has been reported that MJ and Ned will possibly not have as much screentime in the film as they did in their previous three appearances, this confirms that the Spider-Man: No Way Home ending is still intact, with at least Batalon’s character off to M.I.T. With Ned having been spotted, it also confirms that Batalon has begun work on his scenes for the film.

MJ is the bigger mystery, however, as Zendaya was spotted on set back in early August, which means she has probably been shooting her material for a few weeks, at the very least. But with her hair covered up, it’s possible they may be hiding her new style, perhaps sporting her character’s signature red look from the comics.

Seeing Holland back with his two co-stars for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast is incredibly bittersweet, given that their characters don’t remember Peter anymore. At this point, it is unknown if the trio will be reunited by the end of the 2026 installment.

If Zendaya’s MJ is about to have a red hairstyle for her 2026 return, it could show a sign that her character is reinventing herself after graduating from high school. Hopefully, more clues on the overall Spider-Man: Brand New Day story will be revealed in future set pH๏τos and videos.
