DC’s Next Batman Movie Cast The Best Two-Face Actor Proven By Near-Perfect 94% Thriller

DC will have a new version of Two-Face onscreen soon, and a near-perfect crime thriller shows why the studio chose the best possible actor for the Batman villain role. James Gunn is getting ready to reboot Batman for the DCU, with The Brave and the Bold movie being a priority for the studio. However, DC’s Elseworlds movies continue to move forward.

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman franchise is part of that corner of DC, existing separately from the characters in the DCU’s canon. The same goes for Batman’s next movie, which is set to arrive on HBO Max soon, well before Pattinson makes his big screen return in 2027’s The Batman 2. The Dark Knight’s upcoming film cast the perfect Two-Face.

DC’s Next Batman Movie Cast A Major Star As Two-Face

DC’s next Batman movie is an Elseworlds animated film. Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires reimagines the Dark Knight’s origin story and several characters from Batman comics. One of those is Two-Face, who appears to be the Batman villain with the biggest role in the DC film, based on the Batman movie’s trailer. Two-Face is key to Batman’s origin.

Instead of being Harvey Dent, the animated version of Two-Face is Hernán Cortés, the leader of the conquistadors. He kills Batman’s father, which leads the young man to training and eventually becoming this universe’s take on the Dark Knight. Two-Face will be voiced by Álvaro Morte in Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires. The Spanish actor has major roles under his belt.

La Casa De Papel Proves Álvaro Morte Is DC’s Perfect Two-Face

The Professor's MugsH๏τ in Money Heist

Morte played Logain Ablar in two seasons of Prime Video’s Wheel of Time. That said, his biggest role does not come from the fantasy series, but the Spanish crime thriller La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). Morte rose to stardom as the leader of the show’s team of robbers, the Professor. The character had a finger on everything that happened in the series.

After watching Morte masterfully play the Professor in the crime series with a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score, I could not think of a better actor to bring Two-Face to life in DC’s next Batman movie. Morte adds an intensity to the characters he plays that perfectly suits the chaotic and cunning nature of the Batman villain. He can balance being charming and ruthless.

When it comes to scheming, the Professor was second to none. The next Batman movie’s Two-Face is Hernán Cortés, who destroyed the Aztec Empire in real life. As such, I believe Morte fits the bill, able to play complex characters with too much power in their hands. Morte’s Two-Face could be deranged, strategic, charismatic, and more all at once, making him a layered Batman villain.
