David Corenswet’s second Superman appearance in the DC Universe for 2025 just became a lot more likely thanks to a new Peacemaker season 2 update. As the DCU’s Chapter 1: “Gods and Monsters” is underway, the second TV show in James Gunn’s superhero universe is currently the prime focus with John Cena’s Peacemaker series, which carried over from the DCEU era.

Cena, who had a brief cameo as Peacemaker in Gunn’s 2025 film, may now possibly be getting a visit from the Man of Steel himself in his television series. Following the release of Peacemaker season 2, episode 3 this week, Corenswet shared a new on-set pH๏τo, with both of them being in costume as their respective characters.

This pH๏τo of the two DCU stars was taken one week before the Superman movie wrapped principal pH๏τography on July 30, 2024. Five episodes remain of Peacemaker season 2, which is released on Thursdays at 9 PM ET. Several characters from the DCU film have already appeared in the new season, including Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, and Maxwell Lord in the season premiere.

What David Corenswet’s Peacemaker Tease Means

After Gunn had previously teased that there would be big Peacemaker season 2 cameos from the larger DCU, the idea of Corenswet’s Superman showing up is not shocking. with DC Studios’ new continuity is to have more connectivity than the DCEU franchise did, with Cena’s cameo before his show even came back serving as a good example.

One of the driving factors in the Peacemaker season 2 story is the alternative dimensions, which were a big plot in Corenswet’s movie. That justifies why the Man of Tomorrow would show up in Christopher Smith’s DC TV show, most likely in the finale, as that would be a natural point for him to make a cameo at the end of the season.
