Avengers: Doomsday will feature Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in his biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe role yet, and fans are not prepared for him, at least according to one Marvel star. Downey first appeared as Victor von Doom in The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ mid-credits scene. However, his face was not visible, with shadows only leaving Doom’s costume to be seen.

Downey is expected to lead Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast in the same way that Josh Brolin’s Thanos was the effective main character of 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, despite the high number of heroes involved.
