Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, with a script written by Will Tracy serving as an English-language remake of the South Korean film Save the Green Planet!, Bugonia stars Emma Stone as a powerful CEO who is abducted by two conspiracy-minded men convinced that she is secretly an alien plotting to annihilate Earth.
Oscar nominee Jesse Plemons (The Power of the Dog) stars as one of the kidnappers, reuniting with Stone and Lanthimos after Kinds of Kindness. The cast also includes Aidan Delbis as the other kidnapper alongside Stavros Halkias and Alicia Silverstone, the latter reuniting with Lanthimos after The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017).
