The trailer for Brett Goldstein’s new movie All of You has arrived. The Ted Lᴀsso star co-wrote the screenplay with director William Bridges and stars as Simon, whose friendship with Laura (Imogen Poots) is complicated by a test that allows people to discover the idenтιтy of their soulmate. The movie also stars Zawe Ashton, Steven Cree, and Jenna Coleman.
The movie, which debuts on Apple TV+ on September 26, has already received glowing reviews following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024. While its Rotten Tomatoes score could fluctuate as more reviews are added, at the time of writing it has a solidly Fresh 83% that has been aggregated from 24 different critics’ reviews.
Apple TV has now unveiled the official trailer for All of You. The trailer opens with an intensely emotional moment of Laura showing up on Simon’s doorstep, before seemingly going back in time to long before this scene. It then sets up the premise and the fact that both characters have entirely opposing views of the soulmate test.
The trailer then showcases a variety of scenes from the following years of the characters’ lives, including a dramatic moment where Laura asks Simon if he thought that he might have been her soulmate back when she took the test. Their relationship is then tested further when love blossoms between them even though she has found her soulmate.

What This Means For All of You
The trailer showcases the way that the movie is finding an even more bittersweet way to harness Goldstein’s skill at blending comedy and drama, which he has showcased both on and off the screen in projects including Ted Lᴀsso and his other hit Apple TV+ series Shrinking, which he co-created with Bill Lawrence and Jason Segel.
This has been pointed out by many critics, as well. This includes ScreenRant‘s own Ferdosa Abdi, who gave the movie a solid 6 out of 10 score. Read an excerpt from her All of You review below:
All of You is not the kind of romance that will leave you feeling uplifted, or believing in love or swooning from the sheer power of the lead couple’s romance. But the actors’ chemistry is an immense draw; it makes our hearts feel something.
While the movie harnesses many of the skills that he has displayed in previous shows, it seems that All of You adds a new layer that could make for a powerful gut-punch, which may be unexpected if the movie is compared solely to his previous work.
Our Take On The All of You Trailer
It ultimately remains to be seen whether All of You will be able to stand out enough against movies with similar premises, like 2010’s TiMER, which was set in a world where people could get timers implanted in their wrists that count down to the moment they meet their soulmate.
However, the All of You trailer does highlight what seems to be the core strength of the movie, which is the chemistry between Poots and Goldstein. That could be the element that allows it to rise above similar high-concept sci-fi romance тιтles.
