A genius LEGO Star Wars collector has created one of the coolest custom builds I’ve ever seen. Over the last few years, The LEGO Group has created some amazing Ultimate Collector Series models, inspired by some of the most iconic Star Wars ships in the franchise. However, it’s always fun when collectors take matters into their own inspired hands.
Back in 2017, LEGO released the Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon, a truly mᴀssive 7,541-piece model. Even now, the $850 model is largely considered to be the coveted “white whale” for many Star Wars fans’ collections. However, one collector has created an equally impressive alternate build for the UCS Falcon, recreating none other than Shadows of the Empire’s Outrider.
This LEGO Custom Outrider Rivals The UCS Millennium Falcon

Designed by @tomᴀssobuilds, this recreation of The Outrider is incredibly impressive, especially as an alt-build of The Millennium Falcon with instructions you can get from @brick.vault.
Having first debuted in 1996’s Shadows of the Empire (which is now part of non-canon Legends), The Outrider was a heavily modified YT-2400 light freighter, not to be confused with The Millennium Falcon, a heavily modified YT-1300.
Piloted by Dash Rendar, the confident smuggler and ship were very much meant to serve as replacements for Han Solo and his iconic ship betweenThe Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, becoming a key ally to Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Lando Calrissian. After all, Solo was trapped in carbonite, having become wall decor for Jabba the Hutt.
While Shadows of the Empire may no longer be canon, The Outrider was inserted into the special edition of A New Hope, shown taking off from the spaceports of Mos Eisley.
Likewise, Dash Rendar is technically still part of the official Star Wars canon as well, having been referenced a few times. That said, Marvel recently did an entire canonical Star Wars run between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, albeit without Dash or The Outrider being featured.
At any rate, it’s very fitting that this amazing custom LEGO mod is an alternate build of UCS The Millennium Falcon. After all, it was inspired by the more famous freighter, despite being a smaller yet similar Corellian model.
While LEGO will undoubtedly make more official UCS Star Wars sets as time goes on, it’s always amazing to see what individual builders are capable of on their own.
