Jimmy Kimmel’s Batman Movie Performance Is Even Weirder 7 Years Later

Yes, that’s right, Jimmy Kimmel once played Batman in one of the character’s most bizarre movie appearances. As far as Batman’s live-action actors go, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is not someone who would be expected to provide an accurate portrayal. Instead, many consider the best Batman actor in the movies to be Robert Pattinson or Michael Keaton.

Other performances, like Christian Bale and Ben Affleck, have also received their share of praise for bringing Gotham’s Dark Knight to life. In the near future, an upcoming DC movie will provide yet another Batman actor in James Gunn’s rebooted DCU, proving the Caped Crusader is more active than ever in pop culture.

When looking back at the character’s history, both in the best and worst Batman movies, there is rarely one actor who stands out as unusual. That is, of course, except for Jimmy Kimmel, whose brief appearance as Batman is even stranger now than it was seven years ago, when the movie was released.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Batman Movie Performance Happens In One Of The Hero’s Most Bizarre Movie Appearances

The movie in which Kimmel portrays Batman is Teen тιтans GO! To the Movies. The animated DC movie, released in 2018, features several cameos from voice actors, Kimmel among them. Certain scenes feature Batman in animated format, with Kimmel providing the voice, in what is perhaps the hero’s most bizarre movie appearance.

As a family-friendly movie, Teen тιтans GO! To the Movies is not quite as concerned about being pure Batman cinema. Instead, it pokes fun at the DC characters it includes, Batman as much as any other.

For instance, one scene has Kimmel’s Batman on a film set alongside Superman, filming an alternate version of Batman v Superman. The animated movie makes jokes about the infamous “Martha” scene from the original Batman v Superman, with Kimmel’s character fighting Superman as their dads have different names.

Another scene shows Batman chasing down the тιтular тιтans, using a seemingly never-ending cycle of transportation methods in a meta joke about the Caped Crusader’s Batmobiles, Batpods, and so on.

Kimmel then lists off a bunch of Batman movie тιтles and the iconic “I’m Batman!” phrase several times as he continues to chase down the younger heroes. All of these jokes, combined with Kimmel playing the hero, mark Teen тιтans GO! To the Movies as the hero’s strangest movie appearance ever.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Batman Performance Is Good Enough That It’s Easy To Forget It’s Him

Funnily enough, another aspect of Teen тιтans GO! To the Movies that is fittingly bizarre is that Kimmel does a good job as Batman. As already alluded to, Kimmel is not exactly the person one would picture when thinking of Batman. However, as a voice actor, he does well.

Kimmel imbues his voice with enough of Batman’s signature growl and gravelly tone to pᴀss off as the hero. It is easy to forget that Kimmel even portrayed the character, especially given that the movie has been out for almost a decade. Nonetheless, Kimmel did play Batman, and it remains a strange movie appearance for more reasons than one.
