Does Nobody 2 Have A Post-Credits Scene?

Bob Odenkirk returns as his action hero Hutch Mansell in Nobody 2, and the franchising of the property leaves questions about what could come next and what it sets up. One of the big ways Hollywood has done this in the last two decades is by employing post-credits scenes.

While the gimmick has existed for decades, the Marvel Cinematic Universe helped popularize the trend. Nowadays, its become more common for franchises to utilize a post-credits tag to tease audiences with a sequel that could come in the future.

That’s true of Odenkirk’s action franchise even. Nobody included a post-credits scene that seemingly was meant to tease what would come in the sequel. As a result, there may be an expectation from viewers that the sequel would also include a credits scene setting up a third film.

So after watching Hutch, his family, and new allies take down a major threat, there could be questions about if Nobody 2‘s ending is really it – or if audiences need to sit through the credits for an additional scene.

Nobody 2 Does Not Have A Post-Credits Scene

We can confirm that there is not a post-credits scene of any kind attached to Nobody 2. There’s no mid-credits or after-credits sequence that directly or indirectly sets up another installment.

Instead, Nobody 2‘s credits begin with a roll of pH๏τos taken from the Mansell family’s “vacation.” This builds on the final scene of the movie and shows each of the characters trying to enjoy their time in the small town they go to before trouble finds them.

After Nobody included a post-credits scene, it is fairly surprising that the sequel did not include anything more concrete in the credits to tease Nobody 3. This is not likely to be the end of Hutch’s story, so a credits scene could have been used to clue audiences in on what may come next.

However, the decision not to give Nobody 2 a post-credits scene shows some growth for the franchise. The first movie’s tag showed Harry (RZA) and David (Christopher Lloyd) in a RV filled with weapons seemingly going on a mission of their own, which was thought to be a tease for the sequel’s story. Yet, that moment is completely ignored in the follow-up.

It appears the franchise decided to forgo a credits scene in favor of leaving the threequel’s story more open. Now there’s no need to worry about building on a story tease that may not work for the eventual direction that a third film heads down.

As a result, Nobody 2 not having a post-credits scene could be a great move for the movie and the franchise’s future. It just leaves more curiosity about what Hutch and the Mansell family will do next.
