Following James Gunn’s Superman, multiple DC Universe locations have been confirmed. As the first live-action movie for this brand-new universe, Superman does quite a bit of work in terms of establishing the greater DCU. This includes the debut of major points of interest from the original comics.
Naturally, James Gunn’s Superman introduces several classic locations connected to the classic Man of Steel mythos. However, there are plenty of locations important to the new DC Universe at large, and ones that previous DCU projects have introduced as well. To that end, here are all the major DCU locations we know about after Superman.

Metropolis
One of the biggest cities in the DC Universe, Metropolis is protected by Superman as well as the Justice Gang. Known as the “City of Tomorrow”, Metropolis is also home to key locations like LuthorCorp and the Daily Planet.
In James Gunn’s Superman, Metropolis is split in two by a rift caused by Lex Luthor’s pocket dimension, a cataclysmic event that was ultimately undone by Superman and Mister Terrific.

Daily Planet
Located in Metropolis, the Daily Planet is the premier newspaper where Clark Kent works alongside Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and more intrepid journalists. Easily spotted thanks to the giant globe on the roof, The Daily Planet is run by its editor-in-chief, Perry White. The paper was instrumental in exposing Lex Luthor’s crimes and collusion with Boravia to the entire world.

LuthorCorp
LuthorCorp is the má´€ssive technology company run by Lex Luthor, Superman’s arch-nemesis. A billion-dollar corporation, LuthorCorp is a leading industry giant in the DCU. It’s also where Luthor himself staged his attacks against Superman, while also holding a portal to his unstable pocket universe.

Hall of Justice
Also located in Metropolis, the Hall of Justice is the new headquarters of the Justice Gang, the trio of heroes funded by LordTech CEO Maxwell Lord. While it looks as though renovations are still happening, a large mural can be seen inside The Hall of Justice, featuring metahumans and vigilantes from across the ages (one of Superman’s best Easter eggs).

Boravia
A fictional European nation run by its dictator, Vasil Ghurkos, Boravia is a country from the original DC Comics. Seeking to invade the nation of Jarhanpur, Boravia intended to kill the rival nation’s population in a brutal genocide using weapons provided by LuthorCorp. However, the Boravian military was ultimately stopped by the Justice Gang and Metamorpho.

Jarhanpur
Also from the original DC Comics, Jarhanpur is the much smaller neighbor to Boravia. On the page, Jarhanpur was a semi-sentient “living land’ that at one point rejected its own corrupt leader. In James Gunn’s Superman, Jarhanpur was saved after calling out to Superman (though it was Superman’s allies who answered the call while he stopped Luthor’s rift in Metropolis).

Gotham City
In James Gunn’s Superman, a highway sign is shown pointing to Gotham City, home of Batman. However, Gotham City was actually shown on screen in the DCU’s animated series Creature Commandos during the flashbacks to the origins of Doctor Phosphorus.

Belle Reve
At the end of James Gunn’s Superman, Lex Luthor is taken into custody to be held in Belle Reve. As seen in previous DCU projects like Creature Commandos and The Suicide Squad, Belle Reve is the mega-prison run by Amanda Waller and ARGUS, capable of holding several metahuman criminals who Waller then uses for her various task forces.

Themyscira (Paradise Island)
Having been referenced in Creature Commandos, Themyscira/Paradise Island is the home of the Amazons and Wonder Woman. While it’s yet to be shown on-screen, there have already been multiple references to the location ahead of the upcoming Paradise Lost and Wonder Woman projects currently in development for the new DCU.
