DC Confirms Two-Face’s Design For Batman’s Next Movie

DC’s Batman franchise continues to grow with a wide range of projects set to debut in 2025 and the coming years, and the next Batman movie has shown what its new Two-Face will look like in action. Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne will continue to be separate from the DC Universe canon, as Matt Reeves works on his planned The Batman movie trilogy.

As for James Gunn’s DCU slate, there is one project for the Dark Knight. Batman’s The Brave and the Bold movie will reboot the hero for the franchise, with actors like Reacher‘s Alan Ritchson, The Boys‘ Jensen Ackles, 1923‘s Brandon Sklenar, and more rumored for the role. However, it is another Batman movie that will release in 2025, debuting a new Two-Face.

DC Has Revealed What Aztec Batman’s Two-Face Looks Like

Aztec Batman fights Conquistador Two-Face in Clash of the Empires

Many might not know that there is a Batman movie set to be released in 2025. Notably, DC’s big splash this year came in the form of Gunn’s Superman movie. However, Elseworlds projects continue to be developed for DC. To that end, Batman’s next movie will be Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires, exploring a unique take on the Dark Knight.

The new trailer for the Batman movie was recently released, showing more of this exciting world and how it changes some classic Batman characters. Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires‘ version of the Joker, aka Yoka, includes some interesting design choices, with the same also going for its Catwoman. However, I believe the Batman movie’s new Two-Face is its most exciting character.

The main villain of the film is Hernán Cortés, who was the conquistador who defeated the Aztec Empire in real life. In the Batman movie, Cortés kills the тιтle character’s father, inspiring his Dark Knight transformation, and happens to be none other than Cortés himself. Getting his face scratched by Catwoman leads to Cortés becoming Two-Face.

How Aztec Batman’s Two-Face Compares To Other Movie Two-Faces

The other live-action Batman movie versions of Two-Face have been the classic Harvey Dent take on the character. Tommy Lee Jones, in Batman Forever, and Aaron Eckhart, in The Dark Knight, played the only live-action movie versions of Two-Face — Billy Dee Williams was Dent only. Both characters had their faces burned in half, either by acid or fire.

While Aztec Batman‘s Two-Face has the same general appearance as the others, the scratch marks from this universe’s Catwoman set them apart. Additionally, since Cortés is Aztec Batman‘s Two-Face, the DC villain also dons conquistador armor, which is new to the character’s design. With Money Heist‘s Álvaro Morte voicing Two-Face, he might steal the show in the Batman movie.
