One of 2025’s biggest movies is finally available on digital for audiences to watch at home. There are many exciting 2025 sci-fi movies, horror thrillers, comedy classics, and action spectacles still to come in the remainder of the year, but no one can deny how big the year has been thus far, either.
Movies like Superman, F1, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps have made for a big summer. Superman‘s box office has been promising for the DCU, while F1‘s success proves how well-made sports movies can still resonate with audiences. While some 2025 movies deserved better, there have been several success stories.
This includes a Disney live-action remake like Lilo & Sтιтch and the same for Dreamworks with How to Train Your Dragon, the former of which pᴀssed the $1 billion mark worldwide. Evidently, there have been many big movies in 2025 so far. As of August 5, 2025, one of the year’s most major blockbusters is available to watch at home on digital.
Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Is Now Available On Digital After Crushing It At The Box Office
The movie in question is Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. As of midnight ET on August 5, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth was available to buy and rent on select digital platforms. These include Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and Prime Video. The latter platform is charging $29.99 for a digital copy of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, or $24.99 for a 48-hour rental period.
In addition to the film itself, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth‘s home release includes a host of special features, from gag reels and interviews to behind-the-scenes docs and deleted scenes. This all comes after the film’s incredibly successful theatrical run, which proves the Jurᴀssic franchise still has a lot of life in it.
As of August 5, the film’s digital release date, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth has earned over $766 million at the worldwide box office. The box office is split between a $317 million domestic haul and a worldwide total of $449 million. This comes after an $8 million domestic weekend, a month after its initial theatrical release.
The question is raised, then, why Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is already on digital when it is still performing somewhat in theaters. The answer is admittedly unclear, though it perhaps stems from the family-friendly releases of The Bad Guys 2 and Freakier Friday at the beginning of August.
The studio may have believed Jurᴀssic World Rebirth would suffer in theaters as a result. In releasing it on digital, families still have the option of watching the film at home if they did not get a chance to see it in theaters.
Either way, it is abundantly clear that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth has been a success for Universal, with the film’s digital release on August 5 likely only ushering in the next step of its victory.
