Dylan O’Brien’s Viral Comedy Movie With 96% RT Score Finally Gets First Trailer

The trailer has been released for Twinless. Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, the movie is a comedy drama about a duo of grieving men who meet in a support group and then form an unlikely friendship. The film is directed by James Sweeney and is set for release on September 5.

Twinless features Dylan O’Brien in the main role, with a supporting cast that includes Lauren Graham, Tasha Smith, Cree, Katie Findlay, Kody Harvard, Akira Chantaratananond, and director Sweeney himself, who also wrote the movie’s script.

Now, Lionsgate has released the trailer for Twinless. The trailer starts by fleshing out O’Brien’s character, Roman, who had a twin brother who died. This eats him up inside, and he seeks help from a local twin grief support group. It’s there he meets Dennis, who is also grieving.

As Dennis and Roman’s relationship grows, their bond becomes more intertwined. They do many things together, like going to the grocery store or the coffee shop, and even get asked if they’re a couple. As things progress, the Twinless trailer takes on an increasingly dark tone.

What This Means For Twinless

Twinless Has Gotten Strong Reviews So Far

Twinless Dylan O'Brien as Roman

The Twinless trailer provides an interesting glimpse as to how the film will play with tone. Both of its leading men are grieving, creating an inherent air of darkness behind the scenes. That darkness seems to return, but before that point the film seems replete with moments of levity as well.

Twinless has already had a good showing among the few people who have seen it thus far. The movie won the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award at Sundance, and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. It also won a Special Jury Award in Acting for O’Brien.

Twinless also received positive reviews after its debut. The movie has a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score with 53 reviews in so far. One of said reviews came from ScreenRant‘s Graeme Guttmann, who gave the movie 8 out of 10 stars and praised its “bold approach to its subject matter.”

The movie has also gained some online notoriety due to its leaked Sєx scene involving O’Brien. This early buzz and fan interest is a good sign that Twinless could perform decently well at the box office by the time it hits theaters.

Our Take On The Twinless Trailer

O’Brien Looks Great In His Role

The Twinless trailer has got me truly intrigued, wondering what shenanigans Roman and Dennis are going to get into over the course of this twisty-looking film. Even in this brief trailer, it is clear that O’Brien is giving a dynamic and interesting performance, which is sure to keep things interesting in this Sundance hit film.
