A sequel to 1996’s Happy Gilmore, the new Netflix film brings back Adam Sandler’s тιтular Happy Gilmore, now a former golfer and widowed alcoholic who makes a comeback to the professional golf circuit in order to fund his daughter’s ballet studies abroad.
Happy Gilmore 2‘s cast also brings back Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller, Dennis Dugan, and Kevin Nealon. New cast members include Benny Safdie, Bad Bunny, John Daly, Sunny Sandler, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Ethan Cutkosky, and Haley Joel Osment. The film also features several cameos from Eminem, Travis Kelce, Post Malone, and many more.
According to Netflix, Happy Gilmore 2 received 46.7 million views within its first three days, marking the biggest debut ever for any Adam Sandler movie on Netflix. It also recorded the largest opening weekend ever for a Netflix film in the U.S.
