Hannibal Reunion Movie Reveals First Look At Mads Mikkelsen’s New Horror

The first-look image of Hannibal creator/showrunner Bryan Fuller and lead star Mads Mikkelsen’s new movie, Dust Bunny, has been revealed. Revolving around an eight-year-old girl enlisting a skilled hitman to kill the monster under her bed, the horror thriller will mark Fuller’s directorial debut.

Mikkelsen will star as the neighbor hitman. Joining him in the movie’s all-star cast are Sigourney Weaver, David Dastmalchian, and Sophie Sloan.

Now, Collider has unveiled the first-look image of Dust Bunny, teasing Fuller’s alluring and vibrant world. Mikkelsen, Weaver, and Solan can be seen sitting on a dark green couch while having a conversation. With a teapot and a plate of finger sandwiches on the table, the image evokes an Alice in Wonderland vibe. It’s also been confirmed that the movie will come to theaters on December 12. What This Means For Dust Bunny

Mads Mikkelsen Is Playing A Protector Role In Dust Bunny

Billed as a Wicked Fairy Tale and a horror thriller, Dust Bunny sees Mikkelsen stepping into the role of a little girl’s protector, which eerily resembles his тιтular role in Hannibal, where he acted as a surrogate father to Abigail Hobbs, the daughter of serial killer Garret Jacob Hobbs.

While the movie isn’t exactly the reunion Hannibal fans hoped for, it does share similar features with NBC’s horror series, especially with it being written and directed by Fuller.

In addition to the first-look image, the report also shared more details on Dust Bunny‘s plot and confirmed its release date. While Sloan’s Aurora is convinced that a monster is responsible for her family’s disappearance, Mikkelsen’s hitman, on the other hand, suspects that the girl’s parents might have been accidental victims in an attempted ᴀssᴀssination aimed at him.

Fuller’s New Horror Thriller Is Finally Close To Release After Delays

The long-awaited directorial debut by Bryan Fuller was first announced to be in pre-production in 2022. The first-look image not only teased the horror movie’s wickedly fascinating vibe, which sees the movie following a recent horror fairy tale trend, but it also offered solid news about the highly anticipated movie. Dust Bunny is currently in post-production after having suffered several delays.

The report confirms that audiences won’t have to wait for another three years to watch the Hannibal reunion movie. Dust Bunny is coming to theaters at the end of this year, joining Avatar: Fire and Ash, Wake Up ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Man: A Knives Out Mystery, and Marty Surpreme in December. However, this also means the movie will likely face tough compeтιтion at the box office.
