Prime Video’s #1 Action Movie Features A Scene-Stealing Role From One Of Amazon’s Biggest Stars

The following contains spoilers for Heads of State.

The Prime Video original movie, Heads of State, has a stellar cast that includes some of Hollywood’s most familiar faces. Peacemaker‘s John Cena stars as US President, Will Drringer, opposite Avengers: Infinity War actor Idris Elba as the UK Prime Minister, Sam Clarke.

Aside from featuring a Suicide Squad reunion (which both Cena and Elba appeared in), the film’s cast also includes Priyanka Chopra (Citadel), Carla Gugino (Men of Steel), Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Stephen Root (Finding Nemo), and many more.

Centering around the unlikely friendship between two world leaders who are drastically different, the comedic, high-stakes action thriller sees Cena and Elba forced to work together as they embark on a road trip while trying to save the world. Needless to say, their memoir-worthy journey has led them to unexpected encounters.

From Clarke’s old flame to a nerdy safe house agent, Heads of State is a movie full of surprises. In fact, the movie features one more DC star, who played a crucial role in saving the heads of two countries.

The Boys Star Jack Quaid Is Amazing In His Brief Heads Of State Role

Marty Comer Had An Impressive Action Sequence

Jack Quaid stars as special agent Marty Comer, who works to protect Derringer and Clarke at the safe house in Warsaw. Introduced as “America’s nutter,” the seemingly laid-back agent turns out to be a geeky guy with unmatched skills. Not only has Marty obsessively equipped the safe house with many backup exits, but he also uses an unconventional method to defend the hideout against the ᴀssᴀssination attempt by Gradov’s men, Sasha, and Olga.

Quaid had a one-man army action sequence in Heads of State that easily stole the spotlight from Elba and Cena. Some may argue that he has the coolest scenes in the entire movie, which saw him carrying a vintage computer showing real-time surveillance footage to get updates on the attackers’ real-time locations while taking them out one by one.

Marty easily leaves an impression, despite not having much screen time in the film. The safe house scene ends with Quaid’s station agent on a suicide mission to take out Sasha and Olga. However, his attempt was unsuccessful. The scene concludes with him seemingly killed off through a headsH๏τ.

While Marty was presumably ᴅᴇᴀᴅ throughout the rest of the film, Heads of State‘s post-credits scene confirms that he survived the attack somehow and had a metal plate implanted in the back of his head. Marty was last seen on a tropical island, trying to leverage his heroic act as a pickup line, though no civilian believed him.
