KPop Demon Hunters Cosplayer Perfectly Transforms Into Live-Action Rumi & Demon Jinu

A KPop Demon Hunters cosplayer transforms themselves into Rumi and a demon Jinu. Netflix’s animated musical fantasy has become one of the most surprising and sensational movies this year, with the story focusing on a female K-pop group who are secretly demon hunters. A key part of KPop Demon Hunters’ success stems from the catchy soundtrack and intriguing storytelling, which has caused word of mouth.

Recently, cosplayer plastiquetiara has shared their KPop Demon Hunters transformation as both Rumi and demon Jinu. In the first Instagram post, the cosplayer revealed the long process of dressing up as demon Jinu, which includes using different types of purple-shaded body makeup, golden contact lenses, long nails, and traditional black Korean clothing. Word Of Mouth For KPop Demon Hunters Has Been Spreading Like Wildfire

This Remarkable Success Has Led To Discussions About Sequels

Since KPop Demon Hunters‘ release on Netflix in late June, it has been consistently hitting the streamer’s top 3 global charts and recently reclaimed the no. 1 spot over Old Guard 2. Strong word of mouth has helped the Korean-inspired musical become an overnight sensation on Netflix, and that phenomenon has continued as it hits the full month.

In addition, several of the KPop Demon Hunters songs, including “Golden” and “Your Idol,” have landed on the musical charts and set shocking records despite Huntr/x and Saja Boys being fictional K-pop groups. Recently, it was revealed that Netflix is also planning to campaign “Golden” for award consideration, which serves as the anthem for the female girl group.

With the Netflix movie also on track to break a record as the most-viewed original animated movie for the streamer, there have been discussions about potential sequels. While speaking to ScreenRant, KPop Demon Hunters director Maggie Kang was open to doing sequels, stating that there were still a few unanswered questions.

Always. There are always side stories, and there are things we’ve thought of while making this one. There are a lot of questions that are answered, but not fully. I think there are a lot of pockets that we can explore.

Our Take On KPop Demon Hunters Cosplay

Could There Be A Live-Action Movie?

Funny enough, the KPop Demon Hunters director was also approached about a potential live-action remake after seeing the recent iteration of How to Train Your Dragon. Kang admitted that she thought about what the version would look like, which led to a few questions. Thus, it’s not too surprising that many cosplayers and audiences are recreating the looks and dances, as it extends the Netflix movie’s virality.

While a live-action remake may or may not happen, there is a strong chance that Netflix may be considering ways to continue the universe with sequels. This makes sense as Korean content and its inspirations have been dominating worldwide, especially with the recent conclusion of Squid Game. KPop Demon Hunters is just an extension of that, so it is only a matter of time until the streamer confirms any major future developments.
