Mortal Kombat 2’s Johnny Cage Makes His Grand Debut With His Very Own IMDb Page

Ahead of the release of Mortal Kombat 2, more details can be learned about Johnny Cage’s career on his very own IMDb page. Since Johnny Cage is one of the most popular Mortal Kombat characters, fans were disappointed that he wasn’t in the first movie. However, thankfully, the ending of the first film teased his inclusion in the sequel.

There will be a lot of new characters in Mortal Kombat 2, such as Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, Baraka, and Kitana, but Johnny Cage is definitely the most exciting inclusion in the upcoming movie. In the sequel, Johnny Cage will be played by beloved actor Karl Urban, who seems to be a perfect choice to portray the Hollywood superstar turned Earthrealm champion.

The official Mortal Kombat Movie X account has posted a screensH๏τ of Johnny Cage’s IMDb profile, building more anticipation for his role in the film. The page includes a very humorous biography of the action star and lists many of his most popular movies. However, it’s worth noting that this page is just a screensH๏τ and can’t actually be accessed on IMDb. Check out the post below:

What Johnny Cage’s IMDb Page Means For Mortal Kombat 2

Johnny Cage Will Be A Standout In Mortal Kombat 2

This IMDb screensH๏τ continues the trend of Mortal Kombat 2’s marketing focusing primarily on Johnny Cage. Before any official images for Mortal Kombat 2 were released, a fake movie poster for Johnny Cage’s action film тιтled Uncaged Fury was posted by the marketing team, giving us our first look at Urban in the role.

It seems like Johnny Cage will be the main character of Mortal Kombat 2, potentially replacing the controversial Cole Young.

Uncaged Fury is included on the actor’s list of movies on the IMDb page along with many others, such as Hard to Cage, The Gist of My Fist, and Rebel Without a Cage. In addition to including some notable movies from his filmography, it’s also amusing that the screensH๏τ features a proper biography for Johnny Cage, which of course highlights how handsome he is.

Even though he wasn’t in the first movie, it seems like Johnny Cage will be the main character of Mortal Kombat 2, potentially replacing the controversial Cole Young. Since Urban is the most well-known member of the cast, this would make sense. This has not been confirmed yet, but this IMDb page once again proves that the creative team behind the movie loves the character.

Our Take On Johnny Cage’s IMDb Page Ahead Of Mortal Kombat 2

Johnny Cage Should Be Hilarious In The Sequel

Karl Urban as Johnny Cage ready to fight in Mortal Kombat 2.

After 1997’s Mortal Kombat: Annihilation completely wasted Johnny Cage and the 2021 movie didn’t even include him, it’s exciting that he will have such a prominent role in the upcoming sequel. The previously released movie poster and this IMDb page prove that Mortal Kombat 2 can have a lot of fun with the character by highlighting his Hollywood background.

Even though Johnny Cage becomes an important Earthrealm champion in the franchise, he is also often treated as a joke because of his silly movie performances. More than likely, Johnny Cage will be introduced in Mortal Kombat 2 as a super cocky, sometimes completely oblivious, Hollywood star before he undergoes some character development. Therefore, I can’t wait to see Urban’s version of Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat 2.
