The Only 2025 Horror Movie With 100% On Rotten Tomatoes Is Almost Here

2025 has been an up-and-down year for horror so far. The year started slowly, with some disappointments from both Blumhouse and A24. The former company released a version of Wolf Man in January, which did poorly among critics and underwhelmed at the box office. Their track record did little to improve two months later with The Woman in the Yard.

A24 had a tough start to the year as well, with both Opus and Death of a Unicorn underwhelming at the box office. They turned it around in terms of critical reviews with the well-received Bring Her Back, but even that had a slow box office.

On the other hand, the year has also seen some extremely successful horror movies. Sinners ended up being a mᴀssive box office hit following its release in April. Following that was Final Destination: Bloodlines, a franchise horror feature that gained incredible traction.

One of the more successful companies for horror this year was Neon. They have already released the Stephen King adaptation, The Monkey, which did fairly well upon its February release. Pretty soon, Neon is preparing for the release of another horror film that has already gotten significant acclaim.

Together Releases In Theaters In 2 Weeks

The New Indie Horror Movie Was A Hit Out Of Sundance

Two weeks from now will mark the release of the highly anticipated film Together. Directed by Michael Shanks, the body horror film follows the story of a married couple who, at a crossroads in their life, find themselves uniquely and horrifically intertwined. The film features real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie in the lead roles.

While Together releases in theaters widely on July 30, the film has already become a huge hit at Sundance. It premiered at the acclaimed festival back in January, where it garnered enough support to give it a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. While this score could shift, this is a great early sign for Together.

One of its positive reviews came from ScreenRant‘s Patrice Witherspoon, who gave the movie 8 out of 10 stars and praised its “squirm-worthy experience backed by great performances.” At the time of writing, Together is the highest-rated horror movie of 2025. This is notable in a year that boasts the impressive hit Sinners, which is a tour de force of a film. The perfect Tomatometer makes Together an incredibly intriguing prospect in the theaters.

The trailers make the film look well-done, with a unique comedic spin to it that will keep things fresh. Combined with the lofty Tomatometer, Together is one of the most anticipated horror movies still to come this year, and the wait is almost over.
