I was a bit surprised that Frozen could still make the top 10, more than 12 years after its original theatrical run, and with the release of Frozen: The Hit Broadway Musical having only potentially boosted its popularity in the last few weeks. Yet, it goes to show that things have never been better for the Disney princesses.

The box office storm in late 2024, with Wicked, Moana 2, and Gladiator II all releasing around the same time, gives me hope that the movie theater industry can still endure and thrive. So, I am glad to see that these movies are continuously popular on streaming, as Moana 2 may be the type of film needed to keep the blockbuster alive.
