Every Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Dinosaur-Related Death, Ranked By Brutality

Even though dinosaurs have started to die off by the time of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, they are obviously still very dangerous creatures. Interestingly, while dinosaurs pose a major threat to humans, the newest Jurᴀssic World movie also reveals that they are key to saving lives. Since many dinosaurs have enlarged hearts, Martin Krebbs’ company, ParkerGenix, has discovered that their DNA can be used to cure disease and allow humans to live for longer.

This is precisely why Zora Bennett and her team travel to the island of Île Saint-Hubert to extract the DNA of various dinosaurs. However, as was expected, the team’s mission does not end well for a lot of the team members. By the end of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, countless characters die in brutal fashion after encountering dinosaurs.

While reviews for Jurᴀssic World Rebirth have been quite underwhelming, there are definitely some thrilling scenes in the film. The mosasaurus encounter and the cliffside quetzalcoatlus attack, in particular, are standout scenes that feature some brutal deaths. Therefore, here is every dinosaur-related death in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, ranked by brutality:

The D-Rex Kills The Helicopter Rescue Crew

The Helicopter Crew Arrived To Save The Other Characters

Since Zora Bennett is a covert operations expert, she had a backup plan just in case she and her team got stranded on the island. Therefore, after their boat crashes following the mosasaurus and spinosaurus attack, the characters in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth luckily only had to survive on Île Saint-Hubert for a little over a day before the helicopter extraction team picks them up.

By the climax of the movie, Zora and the other characters make it to the village in time and eagerly await their rescue. However, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s hybrid dinosaur, the D-rex, makes it to the helicopter before any of the other characters. As the helicopter crew hovers over the island looking for any survivors, they are tragically snatched out of the air by the D-rex.

Watching the D-rex eat the helicopter and its crew at the end of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is terrifying. This scene makes a strong case for the D-rex being the most dangerous dinosaur in the entire franchise. However, compared to some of the other dinosaur-related deaths in the film, the blood and gore in this scene is relatively tame.

A Spinosaurus Drags Bobby Into The Ocean

Bobby Gets The Death He Deserves In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

The Spinosaurus attacks a boat in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Even though all the members of Zora’s crew initially seem quite confident, it doesn’t take long for the movie to make it clear that they are in over their heads on this mission. As the characters approach Île Saint-Hubert in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, they are attacked by a mosasaurus and multiple spinosaurus’.

Since Bobby is a jerk at the beginning of the film, this is one of the least tragic deaths in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.

During this attack, Bobby, who is by far the most mean-spirited member of the crew, brings his gun onto the deck of the boat and tries to shoot at the dinosaurs. While he is focused on one of the spinosaurus’, another one sneaks up behind him and jumps up towards the boat, successfully grabbing hold of Bobby.

Bobby holds onto the boat for dear life but is eventually dragged into the water by the spinosaurus. Since Bobby is a jerk at the beginning of the film, this is one of the least tragic deaths in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. In fact, some audience members may have cheered while watching Bobby die. However, it is still terrifying to see just how dangerous the spinosaurus’ are in the movie.

The InGen Worker Gets Trapped With The D-Rex

The InGen Technician Made A Terrible Mistake

Before viewers are introduced to Zora and her team, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth begins with a prologue. This scene is set inside a top-secret lab on Île Saint-Hubert 17 years before the events of the rest of the movie. During this prologue, a technician drops a Snickers bar wrapper on the ground right before entering the room which holds the D-rex, allowing it to get sucked into the door airlock.

This quickly triggers a system collapse, which means everyone working in the lab needs to evacuate immediately. While all the other technicians made it out of the D-rex’s containment room, the man who dropped the Snickers wrapper gets stuck. During this scene, he begs his coworker to open the door for him, but she decides to leave after seeing the D-rex looming behind him.

Listening to the technician cry and plead for his life while the hybrid dinosaur walks up behind him is horrifying. This death may not be one of the most gory in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, but it is definitely a memorable scene. As the D-rex grabs hold of the technician and drags him into the smoke-filled room, audiences are left to imagine the brutal way in which he was killed.

3

A Spinosaurus Sneaks Up On Nina

This Spinosaurus Blended Into The Environment

A boat is surrounded by aquatic dinosaurs in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

The mosasaurus and spinosaurus attack is a scary scene at the beginning of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, but it’s actually somewhat of a relief that Bobby was the only character to die, especially since practically no one liked him anyway. Once all the other characters make it to the beach of the island, we are tricked into thinking they can relax for a few moments.

This is by far the most surprising moment in the movie, since viewers never expected a dinosaur to actually be onscreen with Nina in this specific sH๏τ.

On the beach, we watch Nina as she tries to drag the supplies from the boat out of the water. Suddenly, what appeared to be a pile of rocks behind her begins to move. This is by far the most surprising moment in the movie, since viewers never expected a dinosaur to actually be onscreen with Nina in this specific sH๏τ.

What we thought was a pile of rocks is revealed to be yet another spinosaurus, which wastes no time to sneak up on Nina right as she moves to the other side of the supplies. Nina tries to grab hold of the supplies but is quickly bitten by the spinosaurus and dragged back into the ocean. All the other characters can do is walk through the blood-soaked water and grow even more hopeless.

2

The D-Rex Brutally Kills Martin Krebs

Martin Krebs Is Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Primary Human Antagonist

How Jurᴀssic World Rebirth's D-Rex Design Was Inspired 1

Just like Bobby, it was also quite satisfying to watch Martin Krebs get killed by a dinosaur in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. After obtaining the briefcase which contains the three all-important DNA samples, Martin leaves the rest of the characters for ᴅᴇᴀᴅ and hijacks a car to drive it to the dock, hoping to be the sole survivor of the mission on Île Saint-Hubert.

However, Martin’s plans get foiled when the D-rex appears in his headlights. The D-rex smashes the front of the car and picks Martin up. As Martin screams in horror and the other characters watch on from the ground, the D-rex bites Martin in half, brutally killing the movie’s main human villain.

This specific scene is the best look we get of the D-rex in the entire movie, and definitely once again proves that it is one of the scariest dinosaurs in the entire franchise. Since he is such a despicable character, Martin’s death honestly could have been dragged out for longer, but he still gets given a brutal end, which is exactly what he deserves after leaving the other characters behind.

LeClerc Gets Eaten & Swallowed Whole By A Quetzalcoatlus

The Quetzalcoatlus Protects Its Unhatched Babies

Unlike Martin Krebs, LeClerc was a kind-hearted character in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Unfortunately, just because someone is a nice character doesn’t mean they’ll survive the mission on Île Saint-Hubert. About halfway through the film, Zora and Henry have to grapple down a cliffside to retrieve the DNA from a quetzalcoatlus egg.

They make it into the cave at the side of the mountain, but are quickly spotted by a quetzalcoatlus. The giant birdlike dinosaur starts attacking the two of them, which leads to LeClerc grappling down the cliff to help them. LeClerc successfully pulls the quetzalcoatlus’ attention away from Zora and Henry, but things don’t end well for him.

As he is being attacked by the quetzalcoatlus, Duncan and Martin try to pull LeClerc back up. However, when they finally get him back to the top of the cliff, it’s revealed that he has already been eaten by the quetzalcoatlus, which swallows him whole. Watching the dinosaur swallow LeClerc’s entire body is horrifying, and proves that the quetzalcoatlus is one of the scariest creatures in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.
