Alan Ritchson’s Batman Gets A Detailed Batsuit, Yellow Utility Belt And Menacing Cowl In Stunning DC Art

Alan Ritchson showcases how perfect for Batman he is in new DC Universe art. Several actors have been rumored to take the lead role in Batman’s The Brave and the Bold movie. That includes the likes of huge stars like The Boys‘ Jensen Ackles and Reacher‘s Ritchson, as well as newcomers, such as 1923‘s Brandon Sklenar.

After months of debate over whether Robert Pattinson could be the Dark Knight of Matt Reeves’ The Batman Universe and the DCU’s Chapter One, James Gunn has repeatedly shut down that idea. A new Batman will be cast for DC’s slate of projects, and the shared universe could use someone who would jump at the chance to play him.

On Instagram, @imaginativehk shared what Alan Ritchson could look like as the DCU’s Batman.

The fan art showcases the Reacher star in a Batsuit that features classic elements like glowing white eyes and a yellow utility belt. Ritchson looks as imposing as expected as Batman, with a separate portrait showing what his Bruce Wayne would look like in the suit without Batman’s cowl.

What The Alan Ritchson Batman Fan Art Means For The DCU

The Actor Would Love To Play The New Batman

The Batman fan art displays how Alan Ritchson would be able to look striking as the DC Universe’s Batman. In a franchise where characters like Superman look as if they jumped straight from the comics to live-action, that is a big deal. Ritchson would bring a rugged quality to his Batman that could fit well with a veteran Bruce Wayne.

While Superman is in his 30s in the DCU, there would not be a problem if the 42-year-old Ritchson played Batman. That is due to how Gunn revealed that The Brave and the Bold will introduce Batman’s son, Damian Wayne. The character is the fourth male Robin in the comics, so Ritchson would be convincing as a Batman with a full Bat-Family.

Our Take On The Alan Ritchson Batman Fan Art

I think the Alan Ritchson Batman fan art perfectly illustrates just how much of a right fit he is for the role. The art combines classic elements of the Dark Knight’s history with a modern approach. It feels like something that could live in the same DCU that has David Corenswet’s Superman flying around in the sunny Metropolis.

I think Ritchson would be a great pick for the next live-action Batman. The actor has plenty of DC experience, having played Aquaman in Smallville and Hawk in тιтans. His role in Reacher is also pretty much Batman in many ways, with his interrogation and detective skills being heightened by his impressive physique. Alan Ritchson’s Batman would be quite imposing.
