Sonic 4 Has A Lot To Live Up For After Amy Rose’s Awesome Introduction

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Sonic the Hedgehog 3!

Amy Rose was finally introduced to the live-action movie series in Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s mid-credits scene, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has to live up to her incredible introduction. Amy Rose is a fan-favorite character from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and while there are a lot of characters in the upcoming fourth film, she really needs to stand out.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s mid-credits scene sees Sonic get ambushed by an army of Metal Sonics in the woods, setting up a dangerous new antagonist for Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Luckily, a hooded Amy appears from out of nowhere, smashing the Metal Sonics with her hammer. Sonic isn’t sure who this newcomer is, but she will undoubtedly become a major ally in the sequel.

After introducing Tails and Knuckles, it was pretty obvious that Amy was going to appear next. Before her introduction, Amy was the biggest character who hadn’t yet appeared in the live-action movie series. She is also the female lead in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, meaning that a mᴀssive hole was left in her absence from the movies.

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Needs To Make Amy Rose Just As Cool As She Was In Sonic 3’s Credits

After Her Explosive Introduction

Amy Rose is incredibly cool in Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s mid-credits scene, and this cool factor needs to be there in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Amy’s destruction of the Metal Sonics portrays her as cool, calm, and collected, with her hammer allowing her to be an even more skilled combatant than the other members of Team Sonic.

Amy’s skills and grip on the Metal Sonic situation needs to be continued in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, with her making a spalsh among Team Sonic. There have been a lot of theories that Amy will be from the future in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, and if this is the case, it guarantees that her unique skills and relevance to the story will be continued in the fourth film.

Sonic 4 Getting Amy Rose Right Is Easier To Believe After Previous Trilogy

Thanks To Sonic 3’s Handling Of Shadow

After the first three Sonic the Hedgehog movies, I am pretty confident that the fourth film will get Amy right. Sonic the Hedgehog 2‘s handling of Tails is a sticking point for some, as he was introduced in the first film’s post-credits scene before getting sidelined by Knuckles.

Luckily, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 made up for this by making Tails a more integral part of the story. Shadow was the character who was introduced in Sonic 2‘s post-credits scene, and the third movie is all about him. So, the movie series has definitely course corrected.

After the third film’s post-credits scenes, Amy and the Metal Sonics will undoubtedly be the big hook of the fourth film. Amy Rose’s portrayal in the third film was fantastic, and this should be continued in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
