Tripper Clancy has been enlisted to write the script for the Night at the Museum reimagining. Clancy formerly wrote Stuber and Die Hart, with him also being the co-executive producer on the 21 Laps Netflix series I Am Not Okay with This.

Our Take On 20th Century Studios’ Night At The Museum Reimagining

It Is Ripe For A Reboot

Of all of 20th Century Studios’ franchises, Night at the Museum is one of the series most ripe for a reboot. The premise of a museum coming to life is practically an endless well of story ideas, and 20th Century Studios could make all kinds of movies and other projects with this concept.

The original Night at the Museum films are well-liked, but they aren’t beloved, meaning that there is a lot of room for a reimagining to improve. Tons of studios fall into the trap of reboot beloved franchises, so taking on a likable but not acclaimed one is a welcome change.

Finally, having 21 Laps Entertainment behind the project is great news. 21 Laps is the production company of filmmaker Shawn Levy, who directed the first three Night at the Museum movies. So, if anyone is going to get Night at the Museum right for the 20th Century Studios reboot, it is 21 Laps.
