One Superman character has been confirmed as the last person to suspect Clark Kent’s alter ego. Superman‘s cast of characters is varied, with a few of them, like Lois Lane, knowing the тιтular hero is also Clark. However, one cast member from the upcoming DC movie confirmed their character would be the last to figure this out.
During a Superman set visit, which Screen Rant and several other members of the press attended, Skylar Gisondo confirmed this fact for Jimmy Olsen. Jimmy works at the Daily Planet alongside Clark, with Gisondo insisting that “Jimmy and Clark are like buddies at the Daily Planet. Also, I think Jimmy really does love Superman. He thinks that he’s doing things right.”
This came after Gisondo was asked about Jimmy’s dynamic with both Clark and Superman. After this, Gisondo followed up with “I think Jimmy would be the last person in the world to suspect that Clark is Superman,” confirming the pH๏τographer is not in the know like Lois Lane is.
What Skyler Gisondo’s Jimmy Olsen Superman Comments Mean
It Means Jimmy & Clark Have A Special Bond
In terms of what these comments mean for Superman, it hints at the dynamic Clark and Jimmy will have. The trailers for Superman have showcased this a little, with one highlighting Clark and Jimmy dancing around together in the Daily Planet office. This, as well as Gisondo’s comments, proves how strong a friendship the two have.
The comment that Jimmy would never guess Clark was Superman, ironically, only increases the strength of their friendship. After all, anyone who had a work friend they could goof around with without judgment would never guess that person was also a stoic, do-gooder superhero. Therefore, Superman will showcase Jimmy and Clark’s friendship in a very human way.
Our Take On Skyler Gisondo’s Jimmy Olsen Superman Comments
Personally, I like these comments by Gisondo. For one, I like how Gisondo reiterates that Jimmy likes what Superman does. In a world that is shaping up to be so against Superman as it thinks kindness is old-fashioned, it makes sense as to why Clark would befriend Jimmy, as he knows the latter does not share the world’s opinion.
Beyond that, I like how Gisondo points out that Jimmy wouldn’t suspect Clark’s idenтιтy. This not only makes their friendship stronger, in a way, as Clark can be himself around Jimmy to the point where he differs so much from Superman, but it also makes the disguise more believable.
Overall, Gisondo’s comments have made me more excited for Superman than I already was, if that was even possible.
